I have a hard time putting SGA ahead of Trae Young. Trae is averaging 29.1 PPG (!!!) and 8.5 assists; he's a legit star. SGA is also wonderful, but he's averaging 20.0 PPG and 3.0 assists. Trae's got his flaws, but the passing and assists along with the much higher scoring make me feel that you gotta put him ahead of SGA.
Young is probably the worst rotation player in the league defensively, or at least right there in the discussion.

“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25
MIN fans were desperate to get rid of Teague. Why? Because he consistently ignored KAT in favor of looking for his own shot. I don't want none of that near Ayton and we can't afford another lost season in his development.
I would take on Nicolas Batum's last year on his deal from Charlotte with the right assets attached:
Charlotte gets: Tyler Johnson, Dario Saric, Ty Jerome
Phoenix gets: Nicolas Batum, Willy Hernangomez, Jalen McDaniels, Cleveland's 2020 2nd rounder
I kind of want to try Batum out as a small ball 4. And maybe he helps Okobo along.
I would also like to strike a deal with the Clippers, sending them Aron Baynes. Dream scenario would be getting Shamet. Netting Kabengele is probably more realistic.

That clippers deal would be a good one if we can get Shamet.
Not sure whether this has been posted already, but I was sad to see that Chandler Parsons was hit in his car by a drunk driver and has suffered significant injuries that may be career-threatening.
Also random note, I can't believe that the Miami Heat are the #2 seed in the East. I knew they were doing well, but 29-13?! Wow. Also the much-lauded Philly is the #6 seed, a full 10 games behind the dominating Bucks.
I look at the West standings, and most of the current non-playoff teams are struggling, with 6-7 losses in their last 10 games. We have had a decent stretch, winning 7 of 11. But Memphis in the 8th seed is rolling, winning 8 of its last 10. Is this going to be another season where we get the #9 seed, barely miss the playoffs, and don't get a good draft pick because of it?

The Delonte West stuff floating around Twitter today is super depressing.
Yes, I encounter a lot of people whose lives have spiraled out of control for one reason or another at the library where I work because we get so many homeless people.
We live in a very harsh world if you're experiencing problems with mental health or substance abuse (or in many cases, both).
