0:32. Mikal has the ball in the lane, open, on his way to the hoop, and the clip abruptly cuts off.
“Are you crazy?! You think I’m going to go for seven years and try to get there? You enjoy the 2030 draft picks that we have holding? I want to try to see the game today.” — Ish 3/13/25
I'm going to pull one out of the past. It was Michael Finley's freshman year, November vs. the Lakers. I was at the arena and we were down 10 points...bummer. Than...Mike in particular pulled a rabbit out of his hat...
I was watching that series when I accidentally became a Suns fan.
My parents grew up in SoCal and mom is a life long Laker fan. This is the first time I remember bball being on tv in our house, and I wanted to root against mom's team just to give her a hard time. I was in high school.
I had no idea how badly the Suns were underperforming in this series! I thought they were the scrappy underdog beating the famous Lakers that had won so much. By the end of the series, I was hooked. Loved the style of play, loved the way the guys smiled and looked like they were having fun, Thunder Dan was my new role model.
The league needs heroes, villains... and clowns. -- Aztec Sunsfan
I almost can't believe this one hasn't been posted. For me, Charles is THE Sun...he brought me to the team...and naturally, this series...this game...was one of his defining games as a Sun. Game 3, Warriors playoff series...had friends over and we were watching it on TV (I think this was a PPV instance...) and it was AWESOME to watch...
And this inspired two more...I like this one more than the second simply as I always loathed David Robinson and the Spurs...but, this has to be posted...
