I didn't realize what a good season he is having.

Yeah I know it would take some creativity with the roster. It's certainly not happening if the latest cost cutting moves are an indication of what's to come in the near future.
Send me a PM if you're interested in joining the phx-suns.net fantasy basketball league.

Clarkson and Grant are nice veteran players, but I don't think I would want them at those prices.

They will if they trade Oubre....just sayin’INFORMER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 12:52 amThere won't be cap space to do that. Clarkson is making $13.4 million and Grant is making $9.3 million. They aren't taking pay cuts, and their teams will at least pay them their current salary. Clarkson is probably going to get $15 million/yr; Grant is going to be looking for $10 million/yr at the least, and could probably get $12 million from Denver.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 6:06 pmI'd like to add him and Jerami Grant (let Saric walk).
So if the Suns want both players to leave winning situations, they'll probably have to offer the them a combined $30 million/yr; they don't have the room to do that.
Though I’d rather have Oubre than Clarkson.

How much do you think Reggie Jackson will get this yr?

Not a fan of him as a backup I take it?

I'd totally trade Kaminsky's unguaranteed contract, Jerome and Okobo for Ish Smith. I'd even throw in a distant 2ndR.

How much sense does Joe Harris make as a target given what he’ll cost and our roster makeup?
He strikes me as one of the free agents most likely to change teams.

Re: NBA FA 2020 & Suns FA targets
He would probably be my target right now. They need a backup PG that can become a starting PG, a backup SG, a defensive PF and a flamethrower.
Maybe they get lucky in the draft for perfect fit PG. Then signing Harris would fill 2 other holes.

Harris is a phenomenal shooter. Honestly fits anywhere. I would support signing him. Seems like Brooklyn would really want to keep him though.
Re: NBA FA 2020 & Suns FA targets
I like him as a target too, but with Devin/Mikal/Cam/Kelly and either Dario or a Dario replacement, how many minutes would he get here? I imagine it’ll take $15-18M annually to sign him. Is that a good use of resources if he’s capped at 25ish mpg?
Re: NBA FA 2020 & Suns FA targets
Agree. Even if Oubre is moved/leaves in FA I wouldn't put a ton of money towards Harris when we have other pressing needs.

Funny how our minds work. 'Paying to move TJ Warren was not a big deal because we had a logjam at forward'. Then, while still lackong a starter PF and a backup PG, 'let's spend our FA money on this forward'.

I think Cam might be our starting PFRing_Wanted wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 1:26 amFunny how our minds work. 'Paying to move TJ Warren was not a big deal because we had a logjam at forward'. Then, while still lackong a starter PF and a backup PG, 'let's spend our FA money on this forward'.
