He doesn't really. He doesn't have a shot outside 10 feet. He's slower. Has alot of nagging injuries. He's a good rebounder and defender but he's Aaron Baynes minus a shot and just signed a decent extension.

I'm half joking because I'm fairly certain Indiana won't part with him. But Sabonis is a good basketball player. He fits anywhere as long as you let him do more than just stand in the corner.

I like Sabonis a lot. Maybe not a great fit with Ayton, that's a good point. I guess the only scenario in which I imagine Sabonis being a Sun is the alternate reality where we drafted both Sabonis and Doncic.

Agreed. I was underwhelmed when they hired him, but he has done a tremendous job. Looks like another case of Kevin Pritchard doing Kevin Pritchard things.ShelC wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 11:23 amThe McMillan thing is weird given the extension, so there's probably going to be more coming out about the firing. I'm not a huge fan of McMillan as a coach but you can't argue about the job he's done there and I think it sucks holding some of these coaches accountable for this year given the circumstances and injuries, etc. If a FO wants to move in another direction with a coach who's currently available, I can understand that too. But McMillan was literally extended 2 weeks ago.

I doubt Baynes dreams about Domantas Sabonis. Just because you guys do, doesn't mean everybody else does!

You know exactly what I'm talking about. Don't pretend otherwise. I just don't want to hear about it. I don't care that he was shirtless on your bed and had true six pack abs in your dream.

I think Baynes didn’t miss a single shot on that 8-0 bubble run, you can’t beat that!!!

Thunder will be blowing it up I think. Build around SGA/Dort/Bazely. See what they can get for CP3, Schroeder, and Adams.

I don't totally agree. I think they're just as likely to use their assets to "reload".

Perhaps, but it seems like they would have kept Donovan in that case

Re: Around the League: Offseason
Who knows?
He's been there long enough to justify a change of voice decision, but the front office could be getting themselves in trouble if they think they'll easily find someone of the same caliber to take on a rebuilding project. Presti has had hits and misses, but that ownership group has its warts and they're still playing in Oklahoma City. We've seen first hand how rebuilding can easily tank a franchise for a decade.

Re: Around the League: Offseason
Has anyone heard a target date to start the next season? I remember hearing something about Christmas Day some time back, but that seems unlikely if the draft is on Nov. 18th.
