Thought about it, but I have been trying to mostly use non-Suns images when I can find a good one for the given number, since this isn't strictly a Suns-related event. But I'll go back and add it to please all comers.

I never really liked Voyager. And I especially took issue with Seven of Nine, who I felt was put on the show simply because of her body. It isn't like Star Trek to cast a character simply to be eye candy. But then they did it again with T'Pol on Enterprise. Oh well.

I didn't watch much of old classic Trek, so I can't say much about Rand. I know that show suffered from occasional "Kirk gets the green-skinned babes" -itis. I chalked some of it up to the time it aired in, the late '60s.

I thought Next Gen was extremely well behaved in this regard; the show was almost completely chaste and classy other than a few silly episodes like Season 1's "The Naked Now," which was a preposterous romp of debauchery. I don't think Troi was as bad as those others like Seven of Nine and T'Pol. She was an attractive woman, and they let her wear some uniforms that showed off her physique, but she always behaved professionally and wasn't generally treated like a sex object. There was one episode where she and Crusher were doing yoga stretches that was pretty gratuitous, but that's about it.



Major Kira? She's a pretty lady, but she's treated completely seriously and not at all an object. She acts like a smart and tough-as-nails commander, and she wears professional clothing, and she's treated with respect. I don't think her character can be questioned at all.

But Seven of Nine, come on. She's there because she's a blonde with huge boobs. That's the start and end of it. I don't think Troi compares at all.

I actually think the actress, Jeri Ryan, acquits herself pretty well in the Picard series as a slightly older Seven. But that doesn't erase her original stint on Voyager.
