Fuck no. They better not trade Cam Johnson. For 2 years at $40 million a fucking year for a 36 year old point guard?!?
It’s interesting to think about how we think about Cam this offseason compared to the reaction to the pick last offseason.

Cam is going to start shooting 8 threes per game above 40% in the next couple of years while being a better than avg defender. Oubre, 10th, AND Cam is ridiculous. Presti got Books hopes up and is overreaching.

Yeah, really. I like the kid though.

Those 8 games in the bubble showed me something even though he only shot 35% from 3. He did shoot 50% from the field though! And he averaged 13.25ppg. Not too bad.
Go Suns!

I'd much rather have Cam than Gallo.

This clown is taking his 10 seconds of fame and running with it. His Twitter reeks of someone catering for followers. I don’t believe a word of his nonsense. They just took on a worse player for Schroeder all to acquire a late first. They are not going to get Cam johnson and Oubre for an overpaid aging PG. it’s just not going to happen even with Gallo. Don’t believe this random.

I think DA needs an athletic, tough 4 next to him/backing him up in the rotation. I would take an Ibaka or Christian Wood type over a Gallo or Bertrans

Like I've been saying, I think Christian Wood should be out #1 target this offseason. Ideal fit here. Young 3 and D PF with legit PF size.

Sorting through all of this... Cam Johnson going out sort of makes sense if we're bringing in Dorian Finney-Smith from Dallas as part of a 3 way trade (or more). Finney-Smith is a VERY good player on defense, and a 37% 3-point shooter. He's physically big enough to slide to PF as well.

Landry Shamet has been mentioned as well, but I don't really love him. Doesn't do anything well, and hard to see a role for him behind both Booker and Bridges.

This season he was all-nba 2nd team (no sun was on any team, or even received a single vote for any team), #5 in steals for the league, and single-handedly carried a team most people thought would fall off a cliff to the #5 seed in the playoffs. He is also probably the best worker of refs in the league.

Despite the ridiculous contract, they aren't going to give him up for nothing. Schroder was gone at the end of this season, so they flipped him for a pick and someone they can likely flip again near the deadline for another pick.

Any reports you are seeing with regards to Cam Johnson being involved in any trade for Chris Paul is absolutely false.
How connected is he anymore? Just curious because it seems we have changed over nearly everyone...except Sarver and people like Julie Fie who I can't imagine would be leaking stuff to a local radio guy.

Not sure since Gambo's connection always seemed to be players (like Dudley.) James Jones seems to be a bit of a closed book. The Paul thing may be done or it may be completely dead. My guess is we'll see very soon which is which.

Agreed on the player front. I just don't see any players on this current team that would be sharing info with him. I think they at least need to be his wife's age before they would talk to him...

Yeah, old Gambo gave his first wife the boot and upgraded to your typical Scottsdale girl pretty quick.
