Trade: Chris Paul to Suns for Ricky Rubio and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Re: Trade: CP3
Good Plan. I wouldn‘t count out Saric if he is cheaper than Gallo or Millsap. He is not that much worse and much younger.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:19 amSo CP3-Booker-Bridges-Cam-Ayton with 18 million in space and the #10 pick.
I keep Payne, draft a playable wing at 10(Bey, Nesmith, Bane, etc.) Use most of capspace on bpa. I’d prefer Wood, but Gallo or Millsap seems more likely. Room exception on another shooter in the back court.
Could conceivably release Payne and Carter to have more space and re-sign with room exception.
Re: Trade: CP3
Have to say, Flex from Jersey was on this the whole time. I will be looking to him for Suns content in the future.

Re: Trade: CP3
Hate to see Oubre gone. And the pick in 2022 better have relevant protections (edit: it does; top12 in 2022 should be enough). But I would have pulled the trigger as well.

Re: Trade: CP3
Top 12 in 2022. Protection goes down slightly until unprotected in 2025. Almost definitely going to be that 2022 pick. We’re protected if this crashes and burns though.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:25 amHate to see Oubre gone. And the pick in 2022 better have relevant protections. I hope Kelly lands in a good spot. Loved his time here and I’ll be rooting for him.

Hate to see Kelly go, and I don't think you can deny his impact on the culture during his time here, but overall this puts us in contention for home court in the playoffs I think.

Re: Trade: CP3
Yeah, I've seen it. The protection is fine. Now let's see what happens in the draft and what Jones does with the cap space. This could be a really good offseason.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:27 amTop 12 in 2022. Protection goes down slightly until unprotected in 2025. Almost definitely going to be that 2022 pick. Re: Trade: CP3
We’re right there. My guess is we sign Gallo.
CP3-Booker-Bridges-Gallo-Ayton with
Payne-FA-Nesmith-Johnson-FA off the bench.

Re: Trade: CP3
I’d love it to be Wood. Think it’s gotta be Gallo though. Maybe Millsap.
Re: Trade: CP3
We could hire him part time for our marketing department or as a male model for our advertising.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:28 amHate to see Kelly go, and I don't think you can deny his impact on the culture during his time here, but overall this puts us in contention for home court in the playoffs I think.
Re: Trade: CP3
Haven't left the house in a week so of course the trade drops when I run out today.
Go Suns!

Re: Trade: CP3
The trade is a good direction for the franchise. Takes the next step forward to start winning. CP3 doesn't make alot of sense for many teams but going to Phoenix is one that does. Glad they were able to rid themselves of that dead ass Ty Jerome. I'll miss Kelly but we had the bubble success completely w o him so he was expendable.
I have high hopes for CP3 giving Ayton a wake up call on how to play hard all the time. Probably the best thing to have happen to figure out Ayton.

Re: Trade: CP3
I’d keep Nader. Doesn’t impact our cap space much and think he’s fairly useful. Not a regular rotation guy but can play if we need him.
