You know me. I've called him CPMe for a decade. Not a huge fan of him *as a person.* He's a hell of a basketball player and when healthy can really improve the Suns. Just the space Booker will get when opposing teams have to move that much more to cover Paul on the perimeter. It will make the team better. I view it as a make it or bust move for this iteration of the Suns. The Booker-Ayton-X version. We now have our X and we'll either get to the playoffs in that 4-6 seed range or this will all end badly. I do wonder what happens when we plateau. What comes 'after' Chris Paul?
Gambo says Dario is coming back tho. If that’s true can we still sign Gallo to the MLE??
Depends on if we're waiting until after 11/22 to complete the deal. If we wait until then we can use all our cap space. If we do it now all we have is the MLE & we can of course go over the cap to sign our guys like Saric, Diallo, etc.

I think this is the elephant in the room question we will be dancing around for the next 2 years.
Could still have Carter/Nader too. Use bi-annual exception for another guard.
I also wonder if you could agree to like a deal with Saric under his cap hold, sign him first. Then you could have like 10-12ish million to give someone like Gallo a little over MLE. Have to release guys like Payne and Nader for that I think though. But could use room exception or minimum contracts to bring them back. They are already on minimum contracts, so maybe they agree.

I don't think I like the idea of bringing in Gallinari. He's a good shooter, but I don't think I like him as a fit here. He's old and slow and not a great fit for our young team and up-tempo offense. He isn't a great defender. And he's an injury risk on a team that already has a prominent injury risk in Paul. Plus Gallo will likely command a decently large salary, and I'm not sure I'd want to pay it to him.
I think I would rather see our PF minutes go to guys like Cam or Saric or some other free agent PF.
