He almost single-handedly brought Denver back in a game that they won.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:03 amMillsap was not good in the bubble. I thought he played awful. Would much rather have a younger, more versatile player next to DA

Re: Suns News: Offseason
I do NOT want to see a front line of Saric + Tucker, even as reserves. Holmes would get 25 pts 30 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench against those guys..

We’ll see, I should say he was specifically responding to questions. Someone asked him Grant, Gallo, or Bertans and he replied, “none of those three”
Someone asked about PJ and he said, “I don’t see that happening”
I wouldn’t take it as fact. Millsap, Ibaka, Harris, Holliday, Wood, are a few guys we could be after.

I doubt he signs for the MLE

Maybe Moe Harkless, DeMarre Carroll, Patrick Patterson, Vonleh as a backup 4/5 on the cheap.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:02 pmWe’ll see, I should say he was specifically responding to questions. Someone asked him Grant, Gallo, or Bertans and he replied, “none of those three”

I get that Wood is a long shot, but I think around the league he is not as highly regarded as he is here. There are some on this board who have been touting him for a couple of years now, but I bet most GMs haven't given him a though until now. He has only really played one year in the league, and in that he was mostly a backup.
With many teams tightening purse strings and agents advising short deals, maybe we get Wood at the MLE for 2 years with a player option that second year.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
I've never been an advocate of signing Wood to large contract. The 5 different teams thing worries me if I'm signing him to a $18-20M/year deal. It's too risky if something goes wrong with him and the Suns have to max Ayton. It would put them in a situation where they'd have to make a bad trade to offload Wood.

Wood is legit. He came out a little raw from UNLV and has had to get stronger, but it isn't like he was getting opportunities at each of those teams and sucking. He was a young player working, fighting to get a chance. He first started flashing potential in New Orleans; he got waived but didn't even get past waivers - the Pistons claimed him (word is the Suns had interest in picking him up).Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 4:58 pmI've never been an advocate of signing Wood to large contract. I don't think he comes here now. I think he'll get an offer more than the MLE and I'm not sure he would want to share the frontcourt with Ayton.

But it’s just so painful and tacky to listen to these guys come up. Like watching a 7 yr old at Circle K with $5 burning a hole their pocket.INFORMER wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:25 pmYou owe him an apology.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 12:30 amThis clown is taking his 10 seconds of fame and running with it.

Re: Suns News: Offseason
You could definitely be right. It's still probably going to be a lot of money for a guy who hasn't consistently played to the level of contract he'll be on. I can understand more if the Pistons are the team to sign him to a big deal because at least they've seen and developed him for a while. Him going into a new situation as probably the 1st or 2nd highest paid player on the team would concern me.INFORMER wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 6:33 pmWood is legit.
