4 years. He’s bigger and does more than Carter. He’s better. But Carter can shoot and I’ll take that at 3-4 million a year instead.
Free Agency Thread
Re: Free Agency Thread
No word in the salary yet, but gotta think this is using their MLE. They were the rumored team after DJ. I was kinda hoping he’d go there, I’m not too excited about DJ
Re: Free Agency Thread
Augustine to the bucks too. Reasonable price

Portis must have taken the BAE. Cross DJ off
Re: Free Agency Thread
Maybe we’re up to something and gonna snag Bogdan...If you sign and trade Baynes at 8.5 million and add Okobo to the deal, you can start his salary at 15 million in the first year. Doubt he wants to come off the bench here though. He can probably start in NY or ATL

You’re very optimistic. I fully expect the suns to pay Carmelo the full MLE.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:20 amMaybe we’re up to something and gonna snag Bogdan...If you sign and trade Baynes at 8.5 million and add Okobo to the deal, you can start his salary at 15 million in the first year. I really have no clue what we’re doing. Maybe we were waiting for DJ to decide, we’ll see what our backup plan was.

Re: Free Agency Thread
Melo not welcome here despite CP3’s bestie. I really fear that happening rn. I’d rather overpay Milsap.
Re: Free Agency Thread
Gortat coming back?!?!
Re: Free Agency Thread
I’m thinking about Melo...he actually looked pretty good with Portland last year. But he still thinks he’s 10 years ago Melo at times. If you could guarantee me that he’d just take open shots, attack close outs, crash the glass, and at least try on defense, I’d take him. But he’d still turn into a black hole at times on offense and that I don’t want. I guess we can tell him we’ll just bench you or waive you if you start doing that.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:56 amMelo not welcome here despite CP3’s bestie. Jevon Carter, Cam Payne, Cam Johnson/signed free agent, Dario, Jalen...
Is an ok bench I guess. LAL, Pdx, Dal will be tough to beat next year.

Dude, I live in Portland. They don’t want his ass back. And yes he made some shots. Dame gets all the credit for his leadership.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:01 amI’m thinking about Melo...he actually looked pretty good with Portland last year. Re: Free Agency Thread
Wasn’t really trying to make a case for him. Just mentally preparing myself in case. He didn’t hurt Portland. If you say that’s because of Dame, I’ll believe you. Think CP3 could actually corral him more than Lillard. Lots of options I’d prefer over him still.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:04 amDude, I live in Portland. They don’t want his ass back.
