I really think Burks was the guy and he was very gettable. Oh well.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:02 amJevon Carter, Cam Payne, Cam Johnson/signed free agent, Dario, Jalen...
Is an ok bench I guess. LAL, Pdx, Dal will be tough to beat next year.

Lol. I do like Burke though!Split T wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:08 amWasn’t really trying to make a case for him. Just mentally preparing myself in case. He didn’t hurt Portland. If you say that’s because of Dame, I’ll believe you. Think CP3 could actually corral him more than Lillard. Lots of options I’d prefer over him still.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:04 amDude, I live in Portland. They don’t want his ass back. And yes he made some shots. Dame gets all the credit for his leadership.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 11:01 amI’m thinking about Melo...he actually looked pretty good with Portland last year. But he still thinks he’s 10 years ago Melo at times. If you could guarantee me that he’d just take open shots, attack close outs, crash the glass, and at least try on defense, I’d take him. But he’d still turn into a black hole at times on offense and that I don’t want. I guess we can tell him we’ll just bench you or waive you if you start doing that.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:56 amMelo not welcome here despite CP3’s bestie. I really fear that happening rn. I’d rather overpay Milsap.
I kinda think Melo is capable under strong leadership to reign himself in when he has humility— like last year when he was nearly out of the league and Dame whipped his ass in shape. Pdx was suffering such injuries that they were forced to start him. Thankfully he made shots.

Re: Free Agency Thread
No interest in Melo. Hopefully the Knicks offer him a 1yr deal for money he can't turn down.
Re: Free Agency Thread
This is a good point. We need contracts to make trades

The Hornets are just a bad organization lol. They give out some of the worse contracts in FA consistently.

Maybe they can sign Frank

120 for that...
Re: Free Agency Thread
Ball/Rozier/Hayward/Bridges/Washington
with Graham off the bench. East actually has some depth. Feel like they’ve got 7 solid playoff teams. Charlotte, Atlanta, and Orlando fighting for that 8 seed. Maybe Washington too.
Knicks, Pistons, Cavs, Bulls all bad I think. Bulls I don’t know.

Re: Free Agency Thread
Down to just Knicks and Hawks with cap space. Would either of them want to make Saric an offer?

That is a TON of money to give up for a gimpy old Gordon Hayward. Wow.
