The Saric deal is a bargain. We're getting him for his prime years. It's also a very tradeable contract and we could use some of those.
I was worried about bringing him back because of the lack of effectiveness for 80% of the season. But, to your point, this is a very tradeable contract if it doesn't work out as intended. Or if someone because available.

Unless these deals have team options in year 3, we seem to have pivoted away from cap space in 2022.
That is what I was thinking, too. I can't wait to see the details of year 3 for him and Carter. Anyone else get 3 years?
Crowder did. Maybe we’ll bring back CP3 for a 3rd year..

Does feel like to me if we want to make a big move, moving Deandre would be the way to do it. Let’s hope he balls out enough that there is no reason to make a big move.
Can't believe I forgot that on Crowder. I really hope that is a team option more than the others...

Just don't see any room for Galloway but for injury assurance? Or if we're planning to make some deadline moves?

I've seen Galloway's name out there assuming it was because of the connection to Bower who signed him in Detroit. He's not terrible but I don't know what he'd give us that Payne and now Moore wouldn't. He and Payne would seem pretty redundant, tho I get not wanting to trust Payne all the way.

Solid signing, another strong character guy too. Would've liked another big but we'll be deep at the guard spot and lethal from 3. Monty may also be planning on limiting or trying to manage Chris Paul (and maybe Book's) workload during the season, thus the interchangeable combo guards.

I'm pretty sure this means we are waiving Okobo, which means there is still another spot for a big.

One concern I have with this roster is that it seems like we don't really have any rebounders other than Ayton. Another reason I would have signed Thompson instead of Crowder.

If we’re keeping Nader and have one more roster spot, there are two directions we could go that I like:

Taj Gibson - veteran big man (we don’t have any)
Bruno Caboclo - another development piece with some upside

Taj would be a real nice pickup. It's tricky because you need someone who can produce but not be unhappy about a bench role. Are we committing minutes to Smith early on? Would we want Taj taking backup 4/5 minutes away from Smith? Taj also can't shoot 3s so there's the question of fit.

Anthony Tolliver is out there and I still like KOQ tho there might be character issues there.

Okobo's death warrant was signed when we got Moore. Bit of a bummer because I like Elie.

Indy will cut Lecque?
Bring him back...unless we’ve kinda determined he’s not an nba player. But we don’t really have any developmental guys
That’s what I’m hoping.

I liked the idea of Elie, but I couldn't tell you how he improved over his time here. Let him go overseas and get real minutes in games. He may be back in the NBA some day.

Galloway is a shooter plain and simple. We don’t need him, but he’s nice to have. I have no idea how that guard lineup will work out, but having too many guards is better than not having enough. We’ve gone through the latter far too much in recent years.

Once again Indy is involved in a deal where a TJ and a pick are traded for nothing.

Jones is taking his strategy of "get players that don't suck" and extending it all the way through the end of the Bench. It's a great thing to have confidence in our 13th man. Monty's got his work cut out for him managing egos, but he seems adept at that.

Also, Moore and Galloway are two players who I often confuse for one another, so this season will be a struggle for me.

It's really crazy how far he's fallen because of injuries. But if he can make a comeback in Houston...
