An ad on this site?
Re: An ad on this site?
I’m ok with it, too. I don’t post much, so I don’t mind to make some contribution thru pay-pal as well.

Do it!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Re: An ad on this site?
UPDATE: I just installed a Google AdSense ad. It sits at the bottom of the page, so hopefully it will not be super duper annoying. If it is, please let me know. I don't know much about setting up ads like this, so I don't know if I completely did it properly.
If the ad bothers you, please feel free to AdBlock it, though the revenue comes from viewing the page with the ad. I think there is also additional revenue generated when people click on the ad, but I don't want anybody to fraudulently click on ads that are not of interest to them, just as a way of funneling money to me / the site. If an ad interests you in some way, of course, feel free to click on it, but just browsing the site while the ads are present is still enough to generate revenue to support the site.
I suppose I'll let it run for a few days and then check to see what kind of revenue it generates. I'll let you guys know. Hopefully it will bring in enough to balance out the modest hosting costs for running the server. Thanks.

No issues with page loading and it's about as unobtrusive as it gets - premo work, Mori.

Re: An ad on this site?
I have no problem with a few extra clicks to contribute with more revenue. Let me know if that's the case. I don't see it as fraud, you have flyers and tv commercials as well as examples where you charge the client on volume distributed, not on effective transactions.Mori Chu wrote: I think there is also additional revenue generated when people click on the ad, but I don't want anybody to fraudulently click on ads that are not of interest to them, just as a way of funneling money to me / the site. I was thinking of depositing money into the State Bank of India. That's the ad I see right now. You don't see that ad every day.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

Re: An ad on this site?
I'm amazed at how poorly targeted the ads are. They seem to have nothing to do with sports or the Suns or even local businesses or anything like that. It's completely random stuff.
