Re: Suns Record Predictions
I think we hit 60%+ winning percentage on the season. We’re built to win with depth at scoring and defense. With CP at the helm, it won’t take long to get on a roll. Our guys look already in game shape. LAC and LAL may take more time to get rolling and finding their grooves with their roster loves and limited time off.

Actually, he’s an airhead.

Agree, I went 55 wins so long as everyone's healthy. We have legit offensive threats at every position, are 2 deep most everywhere, and all of our guys are at least average defenders. I think this team has the legs to push the pace and keep guys fresh, can play big or small, are most of all we're hungry and seem really focused coming out of the bubble. You just get the sense they're all ready to take the league by storm right out of the gate.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 6:52 pmI think we hit 60%+ winning percentage on the season. That’s like a 63 win pace in a full season

They better do better than the play-in game after the moves Jimmy Jones made.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:57 pm43ish wins is my threshold for a successful regular season. That would likely put the Suns in the play-in games, which seems about right to me.

I'm expecting the margins between seeds 5-10 to be very narrow.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:52 pmThey better do better than the play-in game after the moves Jimmy Jones made.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:57 pm43ish wins is my threshold for a successful regular season. Re: Suns Record Predictions
I think it’s gonna be the Suns, Blazers, Minn, and Den who come out swinging on the west coast. Porzingis gonna delay Dallas’ rise a bit. I could see Lebron having to pace himself while they sort out the Lakers rotation and lean on Schroeder, Montrezl, and Kuzma. Hopefully we can get a leg up on the The West coast matchups come playoff time. He’s not leading the league in assists this season.
The clippers will hopefully just suck for a while with their screwball locker room. HOU gonna suck.

Re: Suns Record Predictions
Portland might have a Covid breakout to start the season. That might slow them. You think Minny is gonna be good? I don’t think they’re much of a threat.

Damn straight and I guarantee you the Suns won’t be playing play-in games for their playoff lives.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:52 pmThey better do better than the play-in game after the moves Jimmy Jones made.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:57 pm43ish wins is my threshold for a successful regular season. I went with 48
Re: Suns Record Predictions
I do think we’ll play really hard all year. No nights off. A few teams will surely coast a bit(Lakers/Clippers). It’s possible we push up into the 50 win range, but the west is very good and 50 wins is like a 56-57 win pace. That’s like 2-3 seed territory.
Though one helpful thing is the 10 games we dropped all come from western conference teams. So schedule has evened out a bit. Think this will be one of the East’s stronger seasons though. They look a pretty legitimate 7 deep with good teams, add another 3 potentially good teams and we’re only looking at 5 bad teams next year in the East. It’s usually closer to 8 or 9.

Well now that Rubio will be running the point, I think it will mitigate DAngelo Russell’s poor playmaking and make KAT better. So yeah, I think they will win and surprise people in the regular season hanging a lot of points on teams. Granted they won’t win in the playoffs.
Re: Suns Record Predictions
I think the offense could be good, but I don’t know how they stop anyone defensively. Do they even have a PF on the roster? Think they’ll be counting too much on their wing trio that I don’t believe in yet(Okafor, Culver, Edwards). We’ll see what magic Rubio can do. He did great things for us, I think this is a bigger task though.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 12:04 amWell now that Rubio will be running the point, I think it will mitigate DAngelo Russell’s poor playmaking and make KAT better. Re: Suns Record Predictions
We actually tied our record of 62 wins during 7SOL, so 55 wins would be needed to beat that percentage.

Re: Suns Record Predictions
Good point. They’re really gonna struggle defensively against good playoff teams but will blow past the rest of the underclass. I think at a minimum they will be more successful than we were last year.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 7:54 amI think the offense could be good, but I don’t know how they stop anyone defensively.
