Suns are having a live streaming event tonight for season ticket holders. It kicked off with Rowley talking about our team being led by an All-star, a future HOF player, and we are excited to see what Mikal and Cam can grow into.

Oh, and it is certainly not live. Rowley kicked it off, now Leander is interviewing Monty and Jones together.

Monty is saying he over-coached Paul his first time around, and he learned from that.

Jones says one reason he "knew" Jalen was right for us was how competitive he was, how willing he was to learn, and his desire to get better. So, blah blah blah. I hope all of it is true and he is better than the 10th best player from this draft.

Book says he called Paul as soon as the news broke and started talking about the players on the team and how they are going to work with them to make it work this year.

Paul says he was working out when he got the news via text. Talked to Book, then started to think about how condensed this season will be and how to get everyone on the same page.

Book said he used to go to Hornets game when he was a kid. Paul didn't appreciate that.

Book said he had a CP3 Fat Head on his wall as a kid and used to look at it while falling asleep in his bed (along with KG).

Paul took Book, KAT, and Deangelo to his house after their pre-draft workout and talked to them about what the NBA life is like, what it means for your family, etc. (That was pretty cool to hear)

Book says while CP3 was president of players union, and Jones was VP, he was hooping in middle school.

Paul said before this offseason he had said he wouldn't do any more recruiting because he got too pissed off if the guy didn't come to your team. But he made an exception for Jae.

Book and Paul both said they love that Jae doesn't respect anyone too much.

Paul said he told Ayton he is completely in charge of our defense. You call things out on the court, and you call us out if we miss something. (not sure that will work out)

Paul just said his first 6 years in the league he didn't even have a practice facility. Book jumped in and said "I know what you mean."

Picking the 10th best player in the draft at #10 isn't terrible.

I think Smith at 10 makes more sense than Cam at 11 did. However, the 2020 draft was deeper than 2019. I think Tyrese Haliburton, Aaron Nesmith, Aleksej Pokusevski, Precious Achiuwa, and maybe Saddiq Bey have a shot at being better than Smith.
