Well...he does get to the line more often than Ayton, haha.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."
If only the Suns could have signed him and drafted Haliburton, prior to the trade of Paul.

Are we pretending that Ayton won't be getting that soon?
He’s at least 6 years away from that
Not entirely sure I'd give him half that.
Why don’t we wait and see where Ayton is at in 6 years before we make that decision.
We have to decide if we want to pay him 30M at the end of this season, or we are sending a message to the rest of the league that we are letting him play out his final team option year. There have only been a couple #1 picks where the teams let that happen, and they are all considered busts.
I'll EXTEND him the red carpet out the door if he thinks he's worth 30 mil based on his current body of work. He's worth whatever his rookie salary is as a #1 pick.

13M next year, with a 32M cap hit the summer after.
Is that a lot money? Because it feels like a lot of money.
Teams that overpay for role players (15M+) on long term deals are really going to hamstring themselves.
Continue to think giving the right guys the max deals and maintaining flexibility by signing role players at reasonable contracts is the key to sustained success. I just don’t see a lot of difference in on court value between most guys making $8M annually vs $16M.
Clips are either all in on this team, or they are collecting salaries to land another piece(Morris and Kennard at 4/64 seems like a big overpay for both)
