Game Day: Suns (7-3) @ Wizards (2-8), Mon 1/11/21
Re: Game Day: Suns (7-3) @ Wizards (2-8), Mon 1/11/21
Very lacklustre start. Hopefully that nice drive and free throws by Galloway can change the tone a little.
Re: Game Day: Suns (7-3) @ Wizards (2-8), Mon 1/11/21
Just tuned in, I see the starters still haven't figured out how to play basketball together.
Go Suns!

Not sure what offense we’re running but consists of a lot of dribbling and no movement. Not sure why it’s taking so long to figure out the defense

1st quarter - 30% FG, 16% 3'2, 50% FT
You aren't beating anybody shooting the ball like that.

Messy first quarter. Offense looked really ugly, a lot of bad shots and poor ball movement. Carter is not a proper point guard. Foul trouble for Booker. Pretty embarrassing.

We have a Damian Jones sighting.

Look how happy the Wizards are to be free from Russell Westbrook.

DA just playing like he’s the size of Ish Smith. Just awful to watch

Why is it other teams know how to get mismatches and take advantage of it, but the Suns......

DA is such a pussy.
Suns didn’t show up. Pencil this as another pathetic loss. These guys are way too into themselves for not having accomplished shit

Ayton just had the ball 5 feet from the hoop and travelled trying to pass it out...turning this one off for now, might check back later.

Looks like I despise Ayton again today.

Because the guy who gets the mismatches for the Suns doesn't know how to take advantage of it.The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 5:46 pmWhy is it other teams know how to get mismatches and take advantage of it, but the Suns......

His travel just now when he (eventually) caught the ball about five feet from the basket and looked to pass out instead of think about attacking the rim was very frustrating.
Generally, the Suns look like they're all trying to get it done themselves, rather than play like a team. Also they are not defending at anywhere near their normal level (starting to do that would be a good start)

Wizards have doubled our score - embarrassing

I’ve been one at the biggest Ayton supporters on this site, but he needs to be benched for awhile. A half, a game, a few games, I don’t know, but he needs to sit until he grows a pair and acts like an actual NBA player. This isn’t rec league or intramurals. He is getting paid to bust his ass and play hard every night. He doesn’t. Not even close. Robin Lopez is outplaying him right now. Robin freaking Lopez! Are you kidding me??

Doesn't help that their best defender has three fouls in 8 minutes.Gladiator wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 5:50 pmHis travel just now when he (eventually) caught the ball about five feet from the basket and looked to pass out instead of think about attacking the rim was very frustrating.

What is the biggest halftime deficit in Suns franchise history?

Monty had to have them better prepared than this.
