Yeah, that was an X File. I said, "What was that?!" and immediately after Frazier said the same thing on the Knicks broadcast.

Our defense really picked up and was quite stifling from that point on.

I attended my first game at our remodeled arena.
As I said after the Atlanta game we needed Cam Payne to step up and Crowder back in the line up. Check and Check.
Now if we can get Sario and Cam Johnson going, dare I say we can beat anyone with Ayton playing like he did tonight. Frank was not so bad either, at least he was better than Sario.
Post game they said Sario was back on the court working on his conditioning. No has said but Sario was out quite a while with Covid. Maybe he is feeling some after effects which I think are breathing related. Just Sayin'
Book may need a night off.

Nice. Was it as raucous as it sounded on TV? The Knicks broadcasters mentioned how high the energy was in the building.

We are going to need Dario. We are already at a pretty big disadvantage against the Lakers size wise, but having Frank as our backup 5 is going to be brutal against them. Saric isn’t great, but I trust him more defensively. He’s at least usually in the right spot and is the better rebounder.

I’m watching the end of the Phoenix broadcast now. Knicks were up 88-81 with a minute left in the 3rd quarter. Suns scored 9 points in the final minute to end the 3rd up 90-88 and they out scored the Knicks 47-17 in those last 13 minutes of the game!

Yeah it was real loud, I heard 8501 loud. I can only imagine how loud it will be during playoffs when I think they are planning for a full house. It was nice to hear fans yelling again. In the first half the Knick fans were chanting MVP every time Randall did anything. Their yaps were real quiet in the 4th quarter but not the Suns Fans.
However I wasn't all that impressed with the $250 Million they spent on the upgrades to the arena. I was just fine with the previous venue. I expect the player dressing rooms received quite an upgrade. Don't order a Hamburger, I should have known better, it was horrible.
The game and the fans were great, that is all that matters.
Chris Paul gets and enormous amount of credit for our turnaround but Crowder is really, really important as well.

As I said last game
When I spend all night avoiding social media just waiting to get home from work to watch the game, it could really suck when it goes like the Atlanta game but tonight was sure worth the wait
Really enjoyed that one because it was a team effort. Yes the Knicks did their chirping and Randle sounds salty in that tweet but they do play hard and I appreciate the fact that we embraced the intensity as a team and continued to battle til our shots started to falling.
Monty sticks to his rotations more often than not but I'm always glad when he deviates sometimes. I have said before that there are times when I think he can leave Payne in, doesn't always have to bring in CP to close the 3rd/start the 4th so I'm glad to see that he decided to leave Payne on the court to start the 4th and him n CP continued the run.

Yea I been listening using earphones this season cause you could hear all the chatter from the players and coaches with the arenas empty so I enjoy the in arean audio. Hearing the fans tonight, and yes the noise for the Knicks was annoying at first lol but the atmosphere sure did sound great tonight.JustWinBaby wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:15 amYeah it was real loud, I heard 8501 loud. I LOVE BEATING THE KNICKS. I love it when they talk tough before the game and then talk shit after the L.
It was a little choppy to start but you could tell early on they were keying in on Paul and Book and leaving DA for clean looks underneath. He was very good on both ends and his rebounding makes such a difference. Randle and Barrett had their typical stats but felt pretty ineffective throughout the night. Rose hurt us the most in the 1st half but I think only had 2pts in the 2nd half so we were able to adjust well there.
Huge comeback game from Jae. Felt like he hit just about every 3 he looked at, solid on defense and moved well on the ankle. He came off the bench last night, wonder if/when Monty gets him back with the starters.
Cam shook off a bad 1st half to really impact the game in the 2nd. He and Craig at the end of the 3rd just took the life out of the Knicks. I was kind of waiting for their legs to go in the 2nd half and the end of the 3rd was the start of it. We punched them in the mouth at the start of the 4th and they never recovered.

If you're a pretender you don't get away with saying things like "we had this game circled on the calendar"
New York is playing well, mainly because Thibs gets his teams to play hard and play good defense, but they don't really scare anybody. Nobody sees them as a serious contender.

I think the Knicks will lose in the 1st round.

Really proud of this team. Great turnaround in the late 3rd and 4th to stomp on them. Game got a little chippy near the end with the shoving and techs; but NYK are fake tough guys and it was much ado about nothing. I love that the Knicks were clearly looking forward to this game to get "revenge" on us and then got demolished.
I thought Ayton had a great game. He has gotten a lot better at playing against teams that go small; he uses his size and strength well against the smaller centers. 26 points on 10-14 shooting and 15 rebounds; wow.
Crowder had a huge impact right away. It's clear that he brings something different than Bridges and Cam Johnson. I really like his veteran presence and shooting. I think he'll be important for us in the playoffs.
Chris Paul with an impressive 11 assists and 0 turnovers. Cam Payne with a great game as his backup with 15 big points. Loved his steal and basket with 0.8 sec left to end the 3rd.
Still worried about Saric. He doesn't look right. I really miss healthy Saric. Can we just sit him until the end of the season? I hope we'll get him back by the playoffs.

I knew this game was ours when Thibs used his challenge in the first quarter.

I'd take him. They were dumb to draft him where they did, but he has worked on his 3-ball and has great athleticism.

Maybe that is why he doesn't try to dunk more often. But yeah, that was bad. Glad he recovered to still get the two points.
