Alex Len!
In addition to him. I like him, but he's basically playing one-handed right now.

If it's any consolation, the result of the game probably made Kevin Johnson smile.

Just watched the first quarter of the Suns vs Memphis from the end of last season. Only two times were the bigs lined up near the top of the key. Both times they were setting double screens from each side so the guard could choose which way they wanted to go. They were never thrown the ball at the free throw line.

This offense is killing our flow. It destroys our ability to get into something useful quickly and it clogs the middle of the lane.

Coach needs to fix this soon.

Interviews early in training camp made it seem like they were just adding a few extra wrinkle into the offense. Not completely changing it. Not much point in selling continuity as a big factor for the Suns this season when you completely change the offense on them.

This is why I wanted Pau Gasol.
He has looked really good in Chicago. Good for them.

We ran plays that looked similar to last years offense maybe 3 times in the first quarter today. One early that ended with a Plumlee post up then one at 3:10 and one at 40 seconds left in the quarter. Each time there was plenty of spacing.

Almost every other time down the court that wasn't a fast break or a broken play we threw the ball to a big man at the top of the key or free throw line. Either the two bigs at the free throw line play or the one where the big is at the top of the key and they throw it to him to throw to the other guard.

THE MAN I WANTED RYAN MCDONOUGH TO SIGN OVER THE SUMMER.

Suns would be at least 5-1 with him right now.

Rough 2OT loss. I'm not panicking yet, but it sure looks like we don't have the rotation of big men that we need. This group needs some time to figure things out.

I just got back from the game..I haven't had a chance to re-watch it on TV but a one thing I wanted to mention aside from the Kings dominating us on the boards is Dragic sucking down the stretch. It felt like he missed every shot in the two overtimes..

Calm down with all the Gasol talk. He would've never signed here unless the Suns would've offered him at least 50% more than Chicago is paying him now. Even then it would have still been a long shot.

Props to Sacto for battling back after Boogie fouled out.

As for Phoenix, lots of issues need to be addressed. The fact that PJ Tucker was guarding Cousins at one juncture tells you all you need to know about frontcourt depth. And the endless rotation of players reminds me of a kiddie soccer game where everybody has to play equal time ... all that's missing is players getting oranges wedges or Capri Suns drinks when they come off the floor.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Alright - how much (little?) are we under the cap at present? I know it's not much, but it's something to work with - how much exactly?

We're effed by that Bledsoe resigning...We would probably need to trade IT3 because Bled is making a good amount of scratch and Dragic is gonna request that next year. Bledsoe is basically untradeable, we could trade Dragic but I think the fan base would lose it if they did that. So, it leaves IT3 and to be quite honest I'm wondering when he starts bitching by his playing time, or lack thereof. Bottom line, Hornacek and McD have their work cut out for them.

I know we'll likely lose Thomas in any scenario, but what's our cap space? I'm thinking Horford here.

The roster construction isn't doing him any favors.
Good Point. I'm not fan of playing 10 or 11 guys though and I am certainly not a fan of playing Randolph and having him cover Boogie.

He'll figure it out though...He's a good coach.

Quick question for anyone though, Didn't most of us think we'd be battling for 1 of the last spots in the west? Its not like this team had championship aspirations, we all knew this frontcourt in particular was far from elite. I think, like many, Al Hortford makes a lot of sense, not just for this yr but long term.. but it takes 2 to tango
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”
