"The big key was we finally played some defense and got active," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "We told our team, with our depth maybe we can wear them out by the end of the game. That's what happened."

The Suns also needed to emerge from their funk that had them in a two-game losing skid but also not playing well since an Oct.31 home win against San Antonio.

"It was the way we were losing," Marcus Morris said. "Having the lead and not being energetic in the third — that's uncalled for. To be the playoff team we talk about being every day, we've got to be better."

Much of Thomas' offense came from drawing fouls, scoring 13 points at the line. It was the most by a Suns player since Hakim Warrick in 2010.
This had to make someone else throw up in their mouth this morning. I can't be the only one.
