I don’t think I’ve ever seen this message board drool over a draft pick quite like it did for Clarke. His rookie year validated a lot of the drool, and his sophomore year highlighted his lack of a reliable shot that had people concerned coming in. I’m good that we got Cam J. All hail James Jones.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 9:08 amHe was hardly in the rotation during the playoffs but this still a surprising take . As always would wait to see how true it is but Grizz sure are busy.

Re: Around the League: Off-season
I loved Clarke…he made a lot of progress on his shot his last year at Gonzaga and that held true his rookie year…don’t know what happened before year number 2, but his shot changed and he was clearly not the same shooter anymore.

Maybe another Markelle Fultz type psychological issue?

Re: Around the League: Off-season
His shot was maybe the ugliest I’ve seen before Gonzaga…I think he’s probably just been tinkering with it for awhile, and what ever adjustments he made between years 1 and 2 were not good. Hopefully he can get it figured out.
Fultz is the strangest one yet. A lot of mystery around what his real issue was. He seemed to have tried to change his shot(not sure why as it looked good and he was a 40% 3pt shooter), which may have led to an injury…or the injury happened simultaneously and wasn’t related. In addition I’m sure it killed his confidence and he hasn’t been able to get his old shot back yet. He’s a great mid range and ft shooter though..just hasn’t found the 3 or range yet.

Something about Kuzma and Harrell playing in Sacramento makes me laugh.
Buddy has been sandbagging it for a while now, IMO. If he gets back into his previous form, that’s a formidable trio for the Lakers.

I think Harrell and Drummond were criminally underutilized in LA; I honestly think either would play really well here. Though Drummond isn't really something that could happen realistically...

I would have liked Harrell coming here as Ayton's backup. I agree he got scammed with the shortest straw on LA, after leaving the Clippers for them, Lakers proceded to DNP himwpmiller42 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 9:03 amI think Harrell and Drummond were criminally underutilized in LA; I honestly think either would play really well here. Neither of them defend in any way.

Woj is saying Hield to LA…
So Westbrook, Hield, Lebron, and AD
So Westbrook, Hield, Lebron, and AD
Re: Around the League: Off-season
Well they can only trade for 1 of Hield or Westbrook. Seems more like a salary dump for Washington. Don’t know why Kings would give up Hield for the Lakers garbage

Re: Around the League: Off-season
Yeah, I don't know how they'd make trades for both Hield and Westbrook.
It's important to consider the Westbrook deal can't happen for another week, so it's likely the Lakers are trying to workover both Washington and Sacramento via the agents.

Ricky and I are currently in the same time zone. I saw this right when I woke up at around 7am. Poor Ricky.

How about that for a salary dump?

16.5 M for nothing. Hmm.
