Suns decline Jaylen Smith's option. Not really a surprise but we can finally say officially he was a bad pick. Still has all of this season to prove himself but more than likely he'll be packaged at the trade deadline if not sooner.
I'm not mad for not drafting Haliburton. I think his agent said don't draft him to Phx. But I watched alot of Jaylen in college and I never saw anything I thought would translate all that well. That is turning out to be an incredibly weak draft. Even more than expected IMO

I'm convinced I am going to be the site troll within a few years, because all I am seeing right now is bad moves by the FO.

you shouldn't assume that it is Sarver advocating for it. Jones is responsible to manage our cap.
AND PLEASE DON'T MISTAKE THIS FOR SUPPORTING SARVER--THE GUY IS A PIECE OF SHIT HUMAN.

I’m very surprised they didn’t pick it up, but I also didn’t think it through much. He hasn’t been playable and he costs more than he’s worth next year. Add the luxury tax and paying 7 million for a guy who can’t get into the rotation at the moment is dicey. I thought surely they’d seen something in his development to keep him(they say positive things) but it appears they didn’t.

I hope this come from the FO learning that Jalen’s market is next to none, and could get more value out of him as an expiring contract. Hopefully we use him long before trade line on a deal for a rotation player (Thad?) instead of leaving the guy wasting space on the bench.
