DA just sleepwalking out there
Re: Game Day: Suns (16-3) @ Nets (14-5), Saturday 11/27/21
It'd be nice if they stopped Bembrey from driving for a layup over and over.

Chris MF Paul.
DA showing exactly why he’s not a max player.

6 steals *in a game* was his high .. it’s now 73rdside wrote:5 steals in the first half already, his best for a half is 6 .. according to the commentator

OOOfff Paul and CP and Johnson for 3 with a minute left .. up by 20
Re: Game Day: Suns (16-3) @ Nets (14-5), Saturday 11/27/21
Strong 2rd quarter. Suns up 18. Shamet looks like he's really struggling out there to my eyes. Happy with Cam Johnson and especially with Mikal's defense.
Re: Game Day: Suns (16-3) @ Nets (14-5), Saturday 11/27/21
Javale mcgee outstanding 10pts and 10rbds in 15 minutes vs 6 and 4 for DA in 25 .. all that for 1/8th of DA’s max price.
(Sorry, this isn’t supposed to be a bash DA thread - maybe a DA perspective thread is a better way to put it)

Bembry is keeping the Nets in the game. Playing with great energy ...

We're seeing 2019 DA tonight.

Was that an assist from Booker to crowder a couple minutes ago ? Either way that should be game … and thankfully so for me, dominating this thread on a 15 game win streak.

We got lucky tonight
Like I said earlier, too many similarities from the issues in the Finals with our offense coming to a grinding hault with lack of ball n player movement.

Who thought Suns would win the back-to-back games with the Knicks and the Nets?
We can kvetch, but this was a nice end to a fairly tough road trip.

Interesting stat...we would from appearances have a decent size advantage...but we are behind on blocks 5-1...could have seen that with the Nets focusing more on perimeter play, but we took markedly more 3s and our FTs were equal...hmmm...

Up next, the Warriors at home. At least we'll be plenty rested.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 7:50 pmWho thought Suns would win the back-to-back games with the Knicks and the Nets?

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

People still underestimating Ayton's value I see. He steps up when it counts. Even in this bad game of his. If he didn't post up Durant and immediately shoot over him and then stop Durant on the other end when the Nets were making a run in the 4th, we may have lost this game. It was a critical moment.

I don’t think underestimating him is the right way to put it - more like not overestimating him.
He’s a great piece of our puzzle, so much so that I’m coming around to the idea that he might be a better fit for us than KAT right now, certainly at his current contract value.

A few observations about the Nets:
--Durant can get 40 any time he wants. Scariest offensive player in the NBA.
--As EJ observed, Harden has lost some of his lateral quickness, no doubt from being out of shape most of the time.
--Aldridge is solid from 15-18 feet. Griffin is an afterthought.
--Bembry's hustle and chutzpah helped the Nets stay in game. He's a coach's delight.

Suns Win 16 in a row!
That’s super impressive and at the end of a road trip and against the top team from the East.
Warriors up next. I might have to tape that game twice just to make sure.

Actually forget the contract, I mean straight up - we’re a pretty balanced scoring outfit and KAT would change the dynamic a lot.3rdside wrote:I don’t think underestimating him is the right way to put it - more like not overestimating him.

If we weren’t title running then I’d be after him no questions asked and twice on Sunday.
