Sounds like KD will be out for 1-2 months at least. Bummer for the Nets. You have to figure they'll drop down in the East standings quite a ways now.

All-Star Voting has been the same since its inception. It's a popularity contest with the big market teams having a huge advantage.

I hear the Elam ending did interesting things to the game, but the entire event is still a spectacle designed to lure in casual fans and feels almost offensive to my sensibilities as a slightly more serious one. In fact for several years I rooted for our guys to be left out of it so they can take the time to recover and to enter the second half of the season with more hunger.
