2022 Trade Deadline Talk

Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
I don’t like this at all for Sacramento…I’ll withhold judgement to see if they do anything else, but I would have kept Haliburton. Fox/Sabonis/Holmes is kind of a mess spacing wise and not great defensively.

I know he's injured right now, but could Brogdon be available for cheap?

Kings chose Fox ?
Pacers had leverage to demand Haliburton ? I don't think so
Well that's interesting

Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
Sacramento is such a mess. I would have tried my best to keep Haliburton and Mitchell; those are the two that I think have the most potential to be built around.
Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
Phewwww, we dodged a bullet with Sabonis. Trading Ayton for him would have been a huge mistake IMO. Glad we showed some restraint. Still room to make a minor move like Gordon or a Thad Young buyout. I'm at the point where I wouldn't want to give up any asset for Thad. Let the Spurs release him and we'll pick him up cheap.

He takes the Smith/Wainright minutes…also might steal some Crowder or McGee minutes in certain situations.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:25 pmI liked the Thad stuff in say November....

Ya I agree, Mitchell/Haliburton/Sabonis is something. Move Barnes and Holmes for some 3&D Wings and you’ve got the start of something…wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:42 pmSacramento is such a mess. Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
He can't be traded til off-season just like Landry Shamet. I'd do a Brogdon Shamet trade but that's it. Shamet has a horrible reputation here in Indy for being soft and fans have had it with him because of it. He's fallen off big time since being on the Pacers.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:52 amI know he's injured right now, but could Brogdon be available for cheap?

Does Sacramento have a requirement like San Francisco and New York?

Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
I can't believe Haliburton was traded. I get wanting to move Hield's money but Hali should've been part of a future backcourt. Kangz going all in on a Fox and Sabonis combo?
Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
I keep going back to that vid during Bagley's rookie year, where the coaches were talking to him on the bench in a game in Phoenix saying, "Aren't you glad you didn't get drafted by this shit show?"
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."
Re: 2022 Trade Deadline Talk
Wasn't there talk at draft time about Haliburton working to make sure he was drafted by Sac as his favorite around where he was supposed to be taken?
