Kundla was the coach of the Mikan-era Laker juggernaut.
Definitely a glaring omission.
I think one would need to at least win a couple of titles to be on that list, which would exclude Sloan and Nelson.
I get that Nellie has a billion wins and used unique lineups...

What about Lenny Wilkens? I feel like at one point that he had the most wins ever as a coach.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 1:40 pmMissing is Alex Hannum, the coach of the only two teams to dethrone the Boston Celtics during their dynasty years in the late 1950s and 1960. In all, Hannum coached two NBA teams and one ABA team to league championships. Hannum also gets special recognition for persuading Wilt Chamberlain, a chronically uncoachable superstar, to sacrifice his scoring and become a league leader (third) in assists when the 76ers won the title in 1966-67. When Hannum became coach of the 76ers, he pointed out Chamberlain's deficiencies as a team player, which caused several heated confrontation. But Hannum never backed down to Wilt, and earned Chamberlain's grudging respect.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 11:52 amYea expect that to be heavily debated

Kundla coached 5 champions in 6 years and coached another Laker champion in the NBL the year before they came in the league.
Wilkens kind of falls in the same category as Dick Motta, Bill Fitch, K.C. Jones, etc. who coached a championship club but never really got back to that level again.
Cotton, D'Antoni, MacLeod, Nelson, Sloan, Shue, Karl, etc. fall into that "coached a long time and had some very good teams" category.

He's had some uncharacteristic low scoring games recently so this makes sense

They did look pretty good in their first game with Sabonis. I don't think it was a good trade for them, but who knows, it could end up being a refresher for both teams. The Kings are pretty bumbling but I am rooting for them to figure it out. They and their fans have had to suffer for too long.

Yep, Bembry would be a nice addition. We'd go from having one Jae Crowder to three Jae Crowders, and I don't think it's possible for a contender to have too many Jae Crowders.

Re: Around the League Week 17 (2/7 - 2/13)
Bembry came up clutch a few games on the defensive end. Waived huh. They couldn’t get rid of some other crap on their roster instead? Strange times.
Re: Around the League Week 17 (2/7 - 2/13)
I like him, but feel like he would have been better pre-Craig. I'd love to put all our eggs in the Gary Harris basket. It's a question of if he'll come here for a pretty small role. I think Milwaukee makes a lot of sense for him unfortunately.

Didn’t realize this was happening tonight, but Book was just the first pick of the reserves to KD’s team. CP3 was LeBron’s 3rd pick so it’s CP3 and Monty vs Book
