Payne has developed good chemistry with McGee, and of course Cam Johnson is important to a lot of the things the bench group does. Both those guys were missing yesterday. I wouldn't take too much away from his plus/minus from this one game, although admittedly he didn't look great.

It was 1 rough game…he was +15 in the Denver game off the bench

Yeah, maybe that's why. He did start off rough this yr and I thought it was because he was missing a connector like Saric, which he had last season in the second team.

Payne is the BU PG. He has totally earned it and there isn’t a doubt in my mind he is keeping his job for the remainder of the season. I hope the new guy does well. I think he was acquired as another insurance policy against injury this year and maybe see if he works for the future, but wasn’t hire to replace Payne this year.
