More about this laptop story, of which I am still extremely dubious:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... top-story/

Some key excerpts:
On April 12, the laptops were dropped off at Mac Isaac’s repair shop. Mac Isaac is legally blind and was not able to identify Hunter Biden by sight. One of the laptops, though, bore a sticker for the Beau Biden Foundation, an organization dedicated to Hunter’s late brother.
At the time, incidentally, Giuliani was in Ukraine looking to dig up dirt disparaging Joe Biden. That included meeting with a member of the Ukrainian parliament who was later sanctioned by the Treasury Department as a Russian agent.
There were already strange rumblings about Hunter Biden at the time. Earlier that same month, someone was passing around a lengthy dossier of allegations about Hunter Biden’s business dealings with China, created by a nonexistent entity. That document was shared, among others, by an employee of the Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui. Guo is also the owner of the boat on which Bannon had been arrested for fraud in August 2020.
The Times would later report that this was contentious even at the conservative publication. Fox News had already passed on it, apparently in part because of the questions about provenance. A number of Post employees questioned whether the paper had done enough to vet the material.
After the story came out, the Post didn’t share the material with other outlets for them to do their own investigations. In other words, coverage necessarily depended on taking the Post’s word for things, which is by itself a disincentive for other outlets. After the story published Oct. 14, media outlets tried to assess its credibility, without luck.
Even today, the full story isn’t clear. Is the story straightforward — Mac Isaac obtained a laptop, thought it might be relevant to national politics and then found only one taker, Giuliani, for the material? Was the material reportedly circulating in Ukraine the same stuff? Nonexistent? Obtained from an iCloud hack independently? Did Guo learn about the laptop from Bannon, with mentions of the material in September following from there?
You're still dubious? LMAO

They have records, receipts & emails up the wahoo that verify the veracity of it. This is blatant denial of something that really sucks for your belief at this point.

I suggest that you forget what you think, and start looking at politics as these people(no matter what side) don't give a shit about you, they only give a shit about themselves. They are all irredeemable.

This story is bonkers. Like I knew Clarence Thomas was trash, but man I had no idea how crazy he is. And yes, I realize that not everyone is what their spouse is, but this is beyond normal stuff. I mean she is spouting Q stuff like she spends all her day on facebook sharing memes.

DNC, Clinton campaign agree to Steele dossier funding fine
By JILL COLVIN
https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukrai ... 9260b13e93

NEW YORK (AP) — Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee have agreed to pay $113,000 to settle a Federal Election Commission investigation into whether they violated campaign finance law by misreporting spending on research that eventually became the infamous Steele dossier.

That’s according to documents sent Tuesday to the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, which had filed an administrative complaint in 2018 accusing the Democrats of misreporting payments made to a law firm during the 2016 campaign to obscure the spending.

The Clinton campaign hired Perkins Coie, which then hired Fusion GPS, a research and intelligence firm, to conduct opposition research on Republican candidate Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. But on FEC forms, the Clinton campaign classified the spending as legal services.

“By intentionally obscuring their payments through Perkins Coie and failing to publicly disclose the true purpose of those payments,” the campaign and DNC “were able to avoid publicly reporting on their statutorily required FEC disclosure forms the fact that they were paying Fusion GPS to perform opposition research on Trump with the intent of influencing the outcome of the 2016 presidential election,” the initial complaint had read.

^ Is there any link to a story on that? Also, even if one defendant is found not guilty, hundreds more have been found guilty. I don't think one case somehow undermines the whole narrative of Jan 6th.

I wasn't making the case that "one case somehow undermines the whole narrative of Jan 6th.".

If I don't provide you a link, would you look it up or would you just dismiss it as fake?

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Romano called the defendant’s claims of innocence “ludicrous.” He added that Martin showed consciousness of guilt when his Los Alamos supervisor texted him that night, admonishing, “You can’t overrun the capital building.”

“Actually you can, rather easily, I might add,” Martin replied. “Not as much security as you might think. Our numbers were freaking huge. They were not prepared.”
U.S. District Judge Trevor N. McFadden, a 2017 Donald Trump appointee who served in the former president’s administration’s Justice Department, acquitted Matthew Martin

A massive loss for Biden? I seriously doubt this affects Biden in any way. One of the 600+ arrested Magaterrorists were let off? That must prove that Trump won or something.

Biden DOJ is different than Biden personally.

Are you ok this morning, Nodack? You've come in quite snarky to start the day. My back is killing me, so I can understand some impatience and annoyance leaking out.

Are we cheering for them or are they all guilty without trial?

This guy was clearly guilty. Read his texts. He knew he was breeching the capital, not being let in by police.

Apparently it wasn't all that clear. He didn't plead guilty and was found not guilty.

Confirmation bias doesn't make him guilty.

I like how yesterday In2 is going on about how there is ample evidence that Joe Biden committed serious crimes, yet this guy says he wants to storm the capitol and cause an insurrection and he's all about confirmation bias and due process. It is good that we have the presumption of innocence and err on the side of finding people Not Guilty if it's at all in doubt. It sounds like this guy got a friendly judge, appointed by the man who this guy tried to do a coup to install back as President, so I'm not sure how that isn't a conflict of interest, but oh well. Can't get 'em all. What's the record on these cases now? 500-to-1? 800-to-1?

read the texts. it is plain as day. only a judge appointed by a insurrectionist would look past it.
