Everyone thought there were a lot of injuries to star players last postseason. It seems like we're on pace for even more this year. Wonder what's going on?

Higher intensity in playoffs? Players coast too much during regular season and get hurt trying to ramp it up?

I do think the nba has a problem with regular season not meaning enough and too many meh games. I think we should shorten the season, space out the games and incentivize regular season wins.

I’d even be in favor giving the higher seeds bigger advantages.

Maybe top 2-3 seeds get 5/7 at home in round 1. Might even give the 1 seed that advantage in round 2.
Let 1 seed pick their opponent.
Expand the play-in and make seeds 5 and 6 at risk of getting bumped.

Just thoughts, not saying to do all of them.

I don’t think you can really cut the number of teams in the playoffs as you can’t really do byes as the series take too long and feels like sitting for two weeks might be counter productive. 4 teams per conference doesn’t seem like enough.

The NBA would lose money lessening the games in a season so that won't happen

Maybe, but not if the games were better. NFL only plays 16 games and makes way more money than the NBA.

If you cut 15% of the season but the average per game viewership goes up 20%, you should be fine. Especially if you add a mid season tourney with bigger stakes that create bigger regular season games. And think it’s better for the long term health. Lots of people don’t care about the nba until the playoffs.

Lol. Had me for a sec. I def don’t wish Book to end up with KJ’s short career. He’s going to have to learn to be great without wrecking his hammys over time. Kyle Lowry is at the end of a successful career lol.

I could see the case for Ingram. But McCollum never has and never will be better than Chris Paul. Chris Paul will retire having made an All-Nba team. McCollum will be lucky if he retires with one all-star nod. If we’re going to use whatever metric draymond is using, then he himself should be in the G league.

I don't like how the 1 and 2 seeds don't know who their opponents will be until 1-2 days before the playoffs. I also don't like that the 7 and 8 seeds are arguably better teams than before, since now they are the best 2 out of 4 teams in that range.

I think a simple fix would be that you let the 1, then 2, then 3 seed pick who they want their opponent to be in the 1st round. So if we like the matchup vs the Nuggets, or whomever, we just say we want them in the 1st round. Get a higher seed, get an earlier pick, get a better playoff bracket. That's a big incentive not to take games off.

Ha ha! Always a sign of disrespect. That's like saying, "No offense but..."

But you've got to admit after watching game 3 that he was right. Am I right?! He nailed it. Smart guy to poke the bear.

I have chosen to just watch highlights from the Sixers v Raptors series
Decided I will watch the 2nd half today to see if Raptors could stave off elimination. That clown who shall remain nameless was one of the refs but the crew were not entertaining Harden n Embiid antics

Raptors battled and deserved the win..FVV left injured in the first half

Nurse also made this quote the other day
Lookout 🤐😂
It's happening lol

All jokes aside
It's unfortunate how much of that series depends on the whistle

It would be great if Utah can extend this series.
