Landry Shamet hath brought a plague upon every house he’s entered

If your team is a contender, stay far, far away from him

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Wow…how does Gobert have a lower assisted %? Just offensive boards?

I don't know if I have ever seen Gobert score an unassisted FG.

Rudy gets +40% more Oboards than Ayton does. And he doesn't seem to pass out of them as much. Rudy also takes almost 40% less FGAs than Ayton.

And how many more FTs a game in spite of that?

Rudy took almost 3 times as many FTA per game this season.

And the Suns are supposed to have him create his own shots as a second option? How?!

I think if you can match DA with a team that has a very good PG (or playmaking SG) and a very good PF that can create for himself and others, DA's value goes up. I am thinking FVV and Siakim with Ayton would be lethal. Or honestly Kyrie and KD in Brooklyn with Ayton. We just don't have that front court playmaker that really unlocks what DA can get you when your PG/SG is blitzed/trapped in the playoffs.

I was thinking about an Ayton for OG swap…but I’d need more from Toronto…a 1st or 2?

I don't remember Ayton being a particularly good fit with Saric but if your theory is correct, we should be trading Cam and expirings for LeBron.

Yeah there is no way we can get Siakim out of them, but OG is really good. I think it would have to be a first at least. Probably a 1st and a younger guy.

OG has a nice contract…but I feel like he’s also in that Cam J/Mikal zone where he can do a little bit off the dribble but you can’t count on it. Fine if he’s the 3rd creator on the court, not great if he has to be the 1 or 2 option.

Agreed. He's got a little more off the bounce juice than Mikal, but he's not a good rebounder. I think if Mikal/OG is our 3/4, we need a killer on the glass at the 5.

I'd be pretty disappointed if we shipped out Ayton and didn't get better than OG back.

Ya OG isn’t enough, at least a pick or two would need to be included. Then we can at least use those to acquire another piece.

Yes

There’s some DA stuff it appears in here, says Toronto is interested. Haven’t been able to listen though
