I think what is missing from that list is the failure to add someone with size that can play next to Ayton. It's like James Jones learned nothing watching Brook Lopez and Giannis play together and wreak havoc on us.

Well it was a list of what has gone wrong, so no, it isn't missing that.

But I get what you're doing, and I don't think anyone is disputing it was a great regular season. But how it ended matters. A LOT.

Fair, I guess my point is it’s easier to see in hindsight. For most of the regular season it seemed like we had done everything right. How it ended just contrasted so bad with how the season went that my brain finds it easier to call it a fluke. Now I don’t think it’s completely a fluke, but it still just doesn’t make sense in my head. I still think something was going on that we aren’t privy to.

After being clearly afraid to even shoot when first getting some rotation minutes I think he was doing a solid job whenever he got on the court.

Plus he consistently does his thing for the national team so I feel there could be a role for him

I was one of the few around here who was still sticking up for Jalen Smith a year ago during Summer League. Nearly everyone was calling him a bust who shouldn't be in the league.

I think even I was out on him. Granted, I think it was the right move at the time to bring in Holiday and Craig. It felt like we were recovering from letting Craig walk and getting someone ti fill in for Payne’s absence.
In retrospect, Monty needs to build a better integrative rotation in the regular season building trust with his 10-12 players and rookies. Finishing number one isn’t as important as building confidence in your entire rotation. They over relieved on Book and CP3 in the 4th.
