Anybody know how trustworth leezus is?

As trustworthy as any twitter poster? And he is just aggregating Flex there.
I've just been seeing that twitter name (leezus) a lot regarding the Suns and was wondering who it is or if he's just a random Suns fan like us repeating what he's seen.
He’s an Emo millenial who was slobbering all over Oubre and got himself blocked by me on Twitter.

At this point it feels like the various NBA insiders are just parroting what various parties in the negotiation are sending them. Woj is very clearly sharing info that BKN wants shared, and some of these other guys like Flex and Leezus and Gambo or whoever are sharing info the Suns FO wants put out. It's all negotiation by public perception.

If Brooklyn doesn't want Ayton, and they want an All-Star plus talent and picks, and they want better than Gobert got, then this may just not work out. We don't have that to give them. Maybe other teams do, but Durant seems to not want to play for those other teams. So I'm not sure what can happen. It seems like Brooklyn needs to lower their expectations and/or just keep him there against his will.

I do think if they just kept him and let the season start, they do have a decently good team and he might come around. I don't think he would want to sit out games and not play; he cares about his legacy and stats and he loves the game. So maybe he'd just decide he's fine with staying there after all.

If Ayton signs an offer sheet they have a few options -

A - Let him walk
B - Take less that fair value for him in a S&T
C - Insist on getting equal (or close) value for him in a S&T
D - Match and hope to trade him later
E - Match and hope the relationship is salvageable

A & B are unacceptable. If they hope to be a title contender they either need him or whatever they can get in a trade for him to be an important piece.

Well if he actually signs the offer sheet, B and C are off the table

Yeah, if he signs an offer the only options are to match or let him walk for nothing.

True - they would have to find out who was going to make an offer sheet and make a S&T deal with them prior.

So if he signs an offer sheet their options are severely limited since he has to approve where he is traded to for the next year. Plus, I believe if they match an offer sheet they can't trade him to the team who signed him to it.

But unless I missed some moves, the only team that has even enough to offer him 4/100 (well below what his camp is demanding) is Indiana. And their owner is on record saying he doesn't do RFA offer sheets without reaching out to the other team to work out a S&T and he has done that twice in the last few years.

Maybe the Spurs have some cap space to come close, though.

Of course there could be things going on behind the scenes that none of us are aware of.

But if what they made a deal with Indiana and got back Turner and draft picks that would lead me to believe that any deal with Brooklyn would have to include both Bridges and Johnson (and others). And I don't think that makes them a better team next year.

There may not be a bidding war over KD if he's made it known he only wants one place. Teams aren't going to give up their best assets for a superstar who doesn't want to play for them.

Have to imagine the Suns have worked every kind of scenario out to try and get assets to BK from other teams.

Take this for what it's worth...if it's true, the Nets probably leaked it so everyone knows just how much they expect back for KD.

Brooklyn is hoping that Ayton takes us off the table in hopes that KD is forced to consider other teams. JJ has to have a counter move here. My prediction is, if it happens, it will change nothing for Suns and KD to push the issue as Bridges + Cam J, picks, and expiring is still enough to get it done.
I’m not mad at Ayton, KD, and Book, and CP3 as our starting 4/5.

You might even be able to keep Crowder and have 4 starters returning, with Bridges upgraded to KD.

Joe Tsai is playing checkers and everyone is starting to notice. All the Indiana and Minny talk just doesn’t seem right. I forget which Suns pod said that Indiana doesn’t sign Max deals for players. Their last Max deal was PG13. But I could see them wanting Ayton for a less than max. Adding to the skepticism here is whether Indiana even cares to run an offense through a center.

So it sounds like it would behoove the team making the offer to talk to the Suns first about a sign and trade then.

I don't like how the ESPN guys were laughing at Sean Marks and the Nets impossible situation. That's just going to make this drag on even longer. That stupid Gobert trade really screwed up things. Huge overpay. Marks is going to be left with egg on his face no matter what happens. He's in a no win situation.

It’s a circus right now. And nba media only benefit by exacerbating it. And I can’t say it isn’t captivating nba fans on pods, sports shows across the US. We’ve probably got Ayton’s agent leaking Pacer rumors, Marks and Tsai to Woj leaking their all the other junk potential offers. Meanwhile, JJ, just doing his thing-whatever the f that is.
