But do enjoy your absolutes.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:28 pmYeah yeah, they played like shit and scared, it’s not that they played exactly like they did in Milwaukee but it’s a Covid conspiracy that is more realistic. And the proof is that you help people who have lost loved ones due to Covid, so that directly corresponds to this. Makes senseDrewsprocket wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 2:23 pmTheir playing like shit was historic. Orrrrrrrr
They just played like shit and got scared.
Or is that only reflective of against Milwaukee game 6? Because it was deja vu. Also they didn’t play like themselves for most of the Pelicans series. Or the last month of the season, and all their defensive stats showed leaks. But sure, we can believe in conspiracy theories. That seems more likely.
That they got scared? These are professional athletes with hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions invested into their body. Clinically there is an element past they just weren’t tough or man enough. It’s not conspiracy, the specificity in-which professional sports exists is straight up clinical in the world we live in now. Yeah they got outplayed, out coached. But it’s reasonable to think they probably had covid? Yeah. I don’t need an aluminum hat to say that. I do therapy for people grieving loved ones and people who are disabled and incredibly in debt because of covid took them out of work. Shit is real.

Gotta say I love Mikal and I’m gonna be really sad if we move him, regardless of who it brings back. I still think you have to do it if KD is an option, but man it’ll suck. I think he’s reached top 2 status of my favorite suns players all time.
Here’s a would you rather:
Don’t trade for KD and Mikal takes a mini leap to where he can reliably run some offense for us or at least create his own shot consistently. Not to the Khris Middleton/Jaylen Brown level I was hoping he’d get to, but maybe like Harrison Barnes/TJ Warren/Will Barrón level?
Or
Trade for KD by sending out a Mikal/Crowder/contracts/picks package?

Re: Is KD coming to the Suns?
I don't want to lose Mikal, but it's Kevin Durant.
I know Jeremey is going to kill me for this, but the Suns best chance of getting Durant is still by way of an Ayton trade. How the Suns season ended hurt his value a bit, so it'll be interesting if he starts off the season well.

Jae Crowder just posted this. I think something is happening, and Jae knows he's on the move (or that KD is coming, and he's moving to back-up PF/SF)
Or, he might just be breaking up with his girlfriend. Timing is odd, though, given that things will start falling into place after LeBron extends (or doesn't).

Re: Is KD coming to the Suns?
So do we think KD's camp leaked this, or Nets? I can see an argument for both.

Re: Is KD coming to the Suns?
I think the Nets leaked it; I think no team is going to give them the historic haul they're looking for KD or Kyrie, and they want KD to give it a try with Kyrie and Simmons.
I think the Nets overplayed this, and now they need to try and save face, at least until the trade deadline.

Wouldn't that only piss off KD?

It’s coming from a Celtics reporter…anyone in the nets organization that has Boston ties? It’s not coming from a National guy, so this doesn’t feel like a choreographed leak. Might just be a reporter getting some real info, probably from a lower level source in the front office. Didn’t feel like the source had a lot of info

What does he know. Everyone wants to be an insider these days when most of them are full of shit.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Lots of troll accounts on Twitter…it’s cool when they know they are trolls and don’t hide it, but lots of people just want to fool people. Though the pooping in the cereal is at least a giveaway that this is a fake tweet.
