Other teams have been pretty vocal about how they are pissed at Brooklyn for leaking everything to the press. So I think if there were a meeting, it might be a sign to the rest of the league that they can keep a secret.

I’m probably being really optimistic but if a meeting did happen, then it was just KD reiterating that he wants to be traded and only wants to go the Suns, which is why Brooklyn is being tight lipped about because it make their leverage even freaking worse if that got out.

I will say I’m extremely pessimistic about a KD trade happening before the season right now. With each passing day, the more likely I think nothing happens or he gets traded to Boston. *sigh*

I really think the KD thing isn’t happening for us. I know people hate it but LeBron might be the only option left to trade for when it’s all said and done, am not even confident in that. This is a pretty disastrous offseason so far. Paint it how ever you want but this team is a second round team ceiling at best. This sucks man.

All three are east coast rivals. Teams generally don't like to do that. I'm taking this reporting that the Suns aren't in the running with a grain of salt, especially since there's been no mention of KD wanting to play for Toronto or Boston.

I believe that report turned out to be wrong confirmed by multiple people.


But…if you want to get conspiratorial, maybe the report was right but it accidentally leaked. Nets people had squashed it because it would clearly destroy the narrative that Sean Marks job was on the line if he didn’t make the right deal and extension would clearly ruin that talking point.

I will say, I’m very confident he gets traded now and this saga might be over by the end of the month, just not super confident he gets traded to the Suns.
