I think there will be bad blood between Ayton and Monty for a long time. Coaches don't easily forget when players quit on their team. And Ayton probably feels like the team/coach quit on him by trying to ship him out last trade deadline, then again all over the place this summer.

We give up two firsts to get rid of him. Book it!

On trade idea that Bobby Marks threw out that I kind of liked was Jae for TJ McConnell and Oshae Brissett.

Not really sure why Indy would want him though. McConnell is a real pg though, which would be nice

Only one guy refused to go back into the game. Book and CP3 were still going out there in the 4th to take their beating like a team.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 12:31 pmThen there should be bad blood between Monty and every player who played in that game.Indy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 12:00 pmI wouldn't be surprised to see Jae technically on the roster at Christmas.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 10:25 amIf you were a betting man, what lingers longer? I prefer that Bulls White deal over any Cavs package. Hopefully Jones is working those phones trying to get the best price for Jae.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I get the White appeal but I’m not as high on him as others. He was a high draft pick and couldn’t really take over the Bulls’ wide open PG spot for the last three years. He’s quite streaky and not necessarily the steady 1 off the bench that can settle a team, more like a Clarkson type that shoots with great confidence, which is useful but I guess I’m hoping for a bit more.

I'm also not much of a Coby White fan. He's very inconsistent and doesn't really have one elite skill. Being injured recently hasn't helped either, so maybe he'll figure it out in time. Getting him in return as the centerpiece in a Crowder trade wouldn't excite me.

I'm not a huge fan either. And I don't think he really brings anything we need. He's not a strong PG. Not a replacement for Crowder. But, I'll take a decent player versus the even worse alternatives. I'm not expecting a home run or even extra bases.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 4:28 pmI'm also not much of a Coby White fan. He's very inconsistent and doesn't really have one elite skill. Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Coby White is a statistically similar player to Cam Payne, younger, with arguably a higher ceiling and more possibility to grow into something better. Little bit better shooter by the numbers, but a less frequent passer. Here are some numbers:
White: 12.7 ppg on 43.3/38.5/85.7% splits; 3.0 reb, 2.9 ast in 27.5 mpg; age 22
Payne: 10.8 ppg on 40.9/33.6/84.3% splits; 3.0 reb; 4.9 ast in 22.0 mpg; age 28

Yep, Cam Payne is a pretty good comp for White. Which is why I wouldn't be excited to exchange Crowder for him.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I’m mostly with you guys on White, but he did have a stretch last season where he looked really good. Check his Dec-Feb numbers here, particularly his 3 point accuracy and volume: https://www.espn.com/nba/player/splits/ ... coby-white

Even as one of the main board members of the CamJ fan club
Still a tad disappointing to see how this situation has played out so hopefully we get a decent piece(s)

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Dude is highly valued there and Grizz never really panic if Ja has to sit and that's alot to do with how steady Tyus is.
Unlikely he would be moved and definitely not to a West contender
