Random out there thought:
Heat lost to spurs at home, are under 500 and currently out of the play-in as well. If things don’t improve I wonder the possibility of the Heat exploring to trade Jimmy Butler at the deadline. He’s 33 and will be owed 3/147 after this season. I would totally do Mikal/Dario and 2 1st for him. Probably have to add CamJ but Jimmy is a legit star and perfect player next to Book, who ups his game in the playoffs. Then try use Crowder contract to get another player role player who’s a good shooter.
Edit: besides being one the NBA’s best defensive players, he wouldn’t take no shit from anybody, which we definitely need.

Is Kuzma really going to be the answer tho? Is he a gamechanger for us at the 4 spot? A #2 next to Book? That's what we're lacking. I don't know that Kuz elevates us to the top of the West. I don't know that Eric Gordon does. Or Thad Young would've. We need a move, but we shouldn't make one just to make one.

He’s a terrible contract but I love his shit attitude for this team. I just worry that between Paul Butler and Ayton with Booker we’d have terrible floor spacingWally_West wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 1:09 pmRandom out there thought:

He’s not a #2 next to Booker…but CP3/Booker/Bridges/Kuzma/Ayton is definitely more equipped to win in the playoffs. Add Payne/Gordon/Craig/(insert your big of choice here) and maybe CP3 has enough left in him to make something happen. Having Kuzma and Gordon to take on some creation responsibilities would help.ShelC wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 1:17 pmIs Kuzma really going to be the answer tho? I don't love Jimmy, not sure about the fit. The Heat would want at least Cam and Mikal I imagine and could probably get better offers elsewhere.
I was thinking about Bam maybe becoming available, but he seems like a Heat lifer.

I don't think you can trust Kuzma. He is a good player, but he is looking for a new deal this summer, and the rumor is he wants to go to a big market. Though he was solid last year, he has clearly upped his game this year in what is essentially a contract year. You can't trust players that do that (I'm looking at you Myles Turner), because the obvious question becomes, "why weren't you doing that before?"

TJ Warren played his first game in what feels like a decade last night. 12 points on 6-10 shooting. I honestly thought he'd never see the court again. Hopefully he can stay healthy and away from all the mystery injuries.

That wasn't his first game. He has played five games. He made his debut December 2.

I'm rooting for TJ Warren. I liked his game (mostly) when he was here and am sad that injuries have derailed his career so much. He was a black hole on offense but extremely talented as a scorer. I just want guys to be healthy and fulfill their potential. Hope he can contribute for the Nets.

I didn’t have any big complaints with the list. Had the suns guys all about where I have them…Where to put CP3 is tough though as he’s probably 50 spots lower based on his play this year.
Booker at 12 seems about right. Mikal in the mid 40’s, CP3 at 50, Ayton in the mid 50’s, Cam in the 90’s.

When he's healthy, yes.
But that's a big caveat.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?
