He kinda did. More like he said he doesn’t sit out with minor things. Something that he learned at Villanova with Jay Wright…he brought up the game he hyperextended his knee with that being the game there was a question whether to play or not. He obviously ended up playing. He had a rough stretch during our losing streak, but had been pretty good in the last 3 wins.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 9:52 pmI guess he also implied on JJ Redick’s podcast that he playing through injury.JeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 9:46 pmLol I gave up on that idea a couple weeks ago. If he's really been playing hurt this long, then this org really sucks. Ishbia needs to do a thorough house cleaning.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 9:29 pmI think Jeremy is right, Mikal is clearly hurt. No denying it now.

Don’t test it. Rest him until it’s fine…we don’t need this lingering.

So it sounds like DA was tired of being scapegoated and said something about Mikal (literally pointing at Mikal), and Monty says something to the effect of, "Cut it out. I'm talking to you and him."

Ya our defense was trash and was getting broken down super easy. Mikal and Ayton are the lynchpins and clearly weren’t on the same page

Seemed like he was pointing to CP3 to me. Not sure

Forget his job as a whole for a moment. Do you not agree that tonight's L was on him?

39 1/2 minutes for Bridges tonight.
32 minutes for Ayton.
It's completely unexplainable.

Monty can’t make the players play better. I also don’t think this game was that big of a deal…don’t really care that we lost

Not really. I think our defense fell apart. Should he have called a timeout earlier? Probably, but no guarantee that would have changed anything…in fact I think the problems were still there after he did call a timeout. Our players also just missed everything for 4 minutes straight.JeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 10:15 pmForget his job as a whole for a moment. Do you not agree that tonight's L was on him?

I can't help but laugh at Deni Avdija's expression.
IIRC, this was after Mikal tried to throw an entry pass over Gibson that resulted in a turnover. Ayton had poor position and Mikal made a bad decision with the pass. Clearly both guys were frustrated with blowing the game.
This loss ultimately came down to the Suns not having a shot maker to match Beal at the end of the game since neither Paul nor Shamet were doing anything to slow him down defensively.

Ya it’s a big meh…we never would’ve lost this game if we are healthy. Add Booker and it’s not close. Even just Okogie would’ve helped stop Beal.

What if they lose?

Was he hurt last night when he scored 20 points? Or five days ago when he scored 27 points?Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 9:29 pmI think Jeremy is right, Mikal is clearly hurt. No denying it now.
