Are you a Lakers fan or something?
I would do that trade if the circumstances called for it.

Marc Stein just said we turned down a Rui for Jae swap. That’s fine with me. I hated him in that draft and he’s not convinced me of anything yet.

Here's a tweet on it...says a package featuring Rui which would mean other assets? I actually liked him in the draft and thought he'd be a good target for us then. Figured if we were talking to the Wizards his name would come up. He hasn't really improved much since coming into the league nor have the Wizards been willing to commit starter's minutes to him the past two seasons.

What do you think of that core defensively? How does a Booker/Bridges/CamJ/Siakam core team stop guys like Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, or Zion?
And what about point guard? I still think you need a decent one in today's NBA.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

If Ayton keeps trippin', I'd do it too. Obviously Vucevic is older (32yo) and we know Ayton is faster, but back to the basket low post presence Vucevic has and he's a better three-point shooter. Their rebounding is about equal.

I want Ayton to stay, but if he continues to have issues, then you have to look at other options.

Well you still have a 5th player to put in the lineup. If you need a bigger player to defend the likes of Jokic/Embiid you can put them in. I kinda think Siakam is about as good as it gets in trying to defend Giannis or Zion 1on1 and I wouldn’t have a problem with that matchup at all.

I also don’t think that lineup needs a pg. Book and Siakam are both pretty high level playmakers, but you could add a pg to the lineup if you really want.

Yeah, I meant if Barkley is right and the relationship is not sustainable, and the Suns choose Monty over Ayton, and Ayton demands a trade...then I would do it.

What trade are you talking about? Ayton for Vucevic? There’s no way that’s true.. not even I’d do that

There are so many players I’d go after before vucevic. Hard pass on that. Hell I’d rather get Myles Turner

I'm just talking about if the situation really blew up. If Ayton were demanding a trade, you couldn't expect to have much leverage in trade talks. And he can't be traded to Indiana until mid-July.

I really think Kuzma is sitting there for us and it wouldn’t take much. He’s kind of my baseline for moves to make. If we don’t get at least him or someone of equal or greater value, James Jones gets a D from me.

I'm trying to be rational about this, but I still just hate Kuzma from his Laker days.

Just because he was a Laker? Or did he do stuff while with the Lakers?

He wears some ridiculous outfits off the court.
