What if a team loses a key player before the deadline? Milwaukee and Khris Middleton, for example. Wouldn’t they be willing to give up more for Crowder?
Jae Crowder trade request

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I think we’re definitely looking at a 3 team deal. Any team acquiring Crowder is either giving up future potential or sending out a lesser player. They aren’t just giving up valuable players for lateral moves.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I wonder what the other pieces involved were. I would have been ok with Rui, although his inability to stay on the court and his upcoming free agency would give me pause.
In general, I think people are overestimating what GMs are going to be willing to give up for Crowder.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
The cupboard is pretty bare for MIlwaukee due to the Jrue Holiday trade. I'm not sure what assets you have in mind.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:58 pmThey’d still get more assets out of Milwaukee that could be used to acquire a starter.TOO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:30 pmAllegedly Jones wants a starter in return, if a team loses a starter not sure how they'll do that without creating another hole.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:10 pmYou’re only focused on one side of the deal.

Milwaukee has been just fine without Khris Milddleton; I don't think they would be motivated to pay a premium for a guy who has been sitting at home for half of the season.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
It was just the first example that came to mind, a contender who could need to fill a glaring hole before the playoffs. I didn’t look into their pile of assets.

I mostly just think he’s almost a certain lock to get moved. Washington should be pivoting towards a rebuild, but even if they aren’t, Kuzma is gone this summer. They need to get something for him. They may find another team offering more(perhaps that’s Collins) but I think there’s a decent chance we could get him and I don’t think it’s going deep into our asset pool. Maybe it’s Crowder and a 1st or maybe it’s CamJ…But we wouldn’t have to package multiple 1sts or add picks to CamJ to get him. I might be wrong though.

How about this:
Suns: Kuzma, Eric Gordon
Wizards: John Collins, 1st from Suns
Hawks: Jae Crowder, Rui Hachimura, Kenyon Martin Jr.
Rockets: Shamet, Dario, Aaron Holiday 3 2nd round picks from Suns, 2 2nd round picks from hawks.
Suns: Kuzma, Eric Gordon
Wizards: John Collins, 1st from Suns
Hawks: Jae Crowder, Rui Hachimura, Kenyon Martin Jr.
Rockets: Shamet, Dario, Aaron Holiday 3 2nd round picks from Suns, 2 2nd round picks from hawks.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I feel like the Rockets are really high on Martin. And I think the Suns and Wizards both make out really well that the other two wouldn't go for it? But I could be wrong, teams get fleeced all the time. Lord knows we've been on the wrong end of our fair share of trades.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Dec 25, 2022 7:00 pmHow about this:

The jazz are nuts if that's true. They're getting the best player in the deal. Maybe if we get Collins and Vanderbilt we could throw in a pick, but that's just nonsensical.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Seems pretty savvy to me. Collins salary is a lot higher and he's not that much better than Vanderbilt. Collins is probably a 3rd guy at best while Vanderbilt is a rotation starter albeit with seemingly more growth upside since he's 2 years younger. If I were in the Jazz position, I'd also want a sweetener to facilitate a more or less unnecessary deal from my perspective.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Why would the Jazz want to pair Collins with Markaanen? And would they want to take on that money?
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
You think we could get Andrew Nembhard from Indy? He doesn't really make a lot of sense with Hali. I think we need to start looking for a young PG.
Go Suns!

This made me laugh.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Doubtful. They are pretty high on him here in Indy and their rebuild is going quicker than anticipated. Hield, Turner and, McConnell will be guys they look to move although McConnel has played so poorly i doubt theyll be able to move his 2 years at 8+ million left.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
good trade target imo
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Eh. Collins is bonafide scorer. Vanderbilt isn't. Collins is having a down year, but he is still young and isn't far removed from having a 20/10 season. I think it is highly unlikely Vanderbilt ever averages anything close to 20/10.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 7:32 pmSeems pretty savvy to me. Attaching a 1st rounder, let alone multiple firsts, to move John Collins sounds like T.J. Warren trade logic.

I'll gladly take McConnell.djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 10:01 amDoubtful. They are pretty high on him here in Indy and their rebuild is going quicker than anticipated.
