Haven't been active since I'm sick with Covid and the Suns/Suns news sure isn't helping me feel better. On the bright side, you all can diss DA as much as you want and I won't feel like arguing about it. :P

Can somebody else please put up the next two game day threads? I'm in Arizona for the holidays and trying to do the impossible and not see the scores until I get home Tuesday and then watch all three games. So far I've managed to avoid yesterday's Grizzlies score although I did see a picture of Dillon Brooks glowering at Chris Paul so I'm assuming we lost. Didn't have a lot of hope without Booker anyway.
I can make the one for the Christmas Day game. Thanks for making these, it's such a service to the site!
I’m so glad that I waited to watch that gem.

Figured it'd be at least a month. Hopefully we get him and CamJ back healthy around the same time.

CamJ should be back way sooner…he’s been working out and it seems like he’s close. Booker isn’t even being reevaluated for a month…he’s probably out more like 6-8 weeks I’d guess.

Oh boy.....

Well the Shamet achilles stuff is the pending update now
Man I was really curious to see how long he keeps it up. Two 30pt games in a week is nothing to make light off as much as we have little faith in the guy

So with Book out a month, assuming Shamet doesn't go anywhere it would be good to see how he plays for the month of January
I think it's a clear shift being shown in his confidence. One of those games he shot like thirteen 3s which is crazy but just shows he's letting it fly and not overthinking/hesitating which I think been his biggest issue

FYI, @wpmiller42, you signed up for this week.

It's a drag but let's play for the postseason for a change. When's that Crowder replacement coming?

He’s out more than 4 weeks. He’s being reevaluated in 4 weeks. It’ll likely be at least 6 weeks.

He came back too soon, played too many minutes, then came back too soon a second time so he could play on Christmas. The team is normally very conservative with injuries, but it seemed like they blew this one.

Rough season.

Also sucks that this probably kills his all star chances (but it may help Ayton’s).

No one is going to be an all-star for us. Booker still has the best chance imo…give him a spot and let them replace him with someone else. But most likely we have zero I think. Unless we go like 10-5 over the next 15 games and Ayton is awesome.

So no all-stars then.

I do feel like this makes a potential trade any time soon less likely, our leverage in any Jae Crowder trade is probably shot right now, every team will be operating like we are desperate and try to take advantage and James Jones seems perfectly content not to play that game. There is a possibility we just completely fall off a cliff and just start tanking for as high of draft pick as possible, like the 2020 warriors.

My gut tells me we’re good enough to tread water and be .500% till Book comes back but idk, maybe I’m being optimistic?

I don't think we've lost any leverage. He hasn't been playing for us this entire time. Best case for us is another role player on a playoff team getting injured and them needing someone like Jae (not to wish harm on other players). But PJ Tucker might have a stinger/arm thing going on...if that lingers or keeps him out, the Sixers may be inclined to call us.

We might just want to focus on next year with any moves though. We won’t do it, but we should consider moving CP3 if he has any value
