Yes, Bridges came up big in this one. So many offensive rebounds and put back jumpers.

Yep, he deserved the full accent treatment tonight.LazarusLong wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 10:56 pmŠarić of several years ago made an appearance, thankfully.
Did have a few too many TOs, but 19 pts, 9 boards and 7 assists was definitely welcome.

It was a little weird that we didn’t close with DWJ.

What would people have said if the Suns had more ball handlers on the court but couldn't defend shooters or get defensive rebounds?
Re: Game Day: Suns (20-21) @ Warriors (20-20), Tues 1/10/23
We didn’t defend shooters or get defensive rebounds because we kept turning the ball over and giving them open transition looks.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 2:03 amWhat would people have said if the Suns had more ball handlers on the court but couldn't defend shooters or get defensive rebounds?

But if the ball handlers weren't good, they'd have done that and not defend or get rebounds.

He hasn't played 5 games in a row since Valentine's weekend of last year.INFORMER wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:33 pmJust scoring 30 plus points in NBA game is going to keep him on the NBA radar, especially when you're talking about playing a bit role on a minimum contract.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:28 pmI think a lot people still remember him as an all-star just two years ago.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:16 pmI honestly don't understand the fascination with Kemba Walker.
I also don’t think anyone is full on advocating to sign him, other listing him as a candidate that couldve help in situations where a pg would be needed haha
And seeing how he just played like 5 games in a row like a week ago and we're talking about a 10-day contract, I'm not sure the "he is never healthy, he never plays" argument really holds a lot of weight in this instance.
He's recently played more than the twice a month that I claimed earlier. My bad.
Unfortunately for him, he's been bad in every game except for one. Good luck spinning the Kemba Walker wheel of fortune to predict when that'll happen again.

If our whole roster was made up of guys that sucked at defense and didn’t rebound and we almost lost the game that way, I would’ve said, would be really nice to have brought in a guy that could get a rebound or a stop right now. We have an open roster spot and a 10-day contract, no reason not to.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 2:03 amWhat would people have said if the Suns had more ball handlers on the court but couldn't defend shooters or get defensive rebounds?

Feels like there's definitely something Monty doesn't like/trust with DWJ. Maybe he doesn't like the score-first mentality, since we're not really that kind of team/offense but you need a bucket getter, especially with the situation we're in. But I'd rather have DWJ out there with his scoring ability, even if it's some ISO/chucker stuff than Shamet playing "the right way" and bricking everything he puts up or getting shut down by defenders since he can't get around anyone.

I fully expect this skeleton crew team to go on an 8-game winning streak and shock the world. Let's see it, fellas. Winners work.
Re: Game Day: Suns (20-21) @ Warriors (20-20), Tues 1/10/23
Honest question - if Shamet plays in this game and gets his 30 minutes, do we win? I honestly don't think so.

DWJ has to learn to take it if he wants it to make it. Shamet doesn’t get held to this standard it seems. IDK. But either way, GSW pressured the shit out of the suns. Perhaps Monty wants this comment public and the truth was he chose defense and rebounding at risk of turnovers.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 2:03 amWhat would people have said if the Suns had more ball handlers on the court but couldn't defend shooters or get defensive rebounds?
