Around the League: Week 15 (1/23 - 1/29)
Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/23 - 1/29)
Embiid's a gamer. He knows how to entertain.
I was surprised PatBev didn't get tossed for the camera stunt because that's really showing up the refs.

Refs should also give players some leeway when they clearly miss a call though

The problem was the all-nba player and their big acquisition weren’t playing well together. Think it’ll be tough to reincorporate KAT. Also, just like everyone else, they are a 2-3 game losing streak away from being 11th
Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/23 - 1/29)
Being in 5th just means you're mediocre, just like us. They could easily drop into the play-in over the course of a single week, just like you said. Nothing to crow about.

Plumlee is a solid bench Center for a good team. Who the hell is giving up a first round pick for him?

I think Rui's upcoming free agency is non-issue. He is restricted, and no one is offering him big money.
Giving up 3 2nd rounders is steep, but that is mainly because Kendrick Nunn has ZERO trade value, other than being an expiring contract.
Re: Around the League: Week 15 (1/23 - 1/29)
Yeah, people here underrated Sabonis. I probably did too, even though I've always been a fan. It's insane that the Suns are paying max money for Ayton and the Kings have Sabonis making $18.5 million.

Because having Grayson Allen is worse than just having Jae sit at home.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:59 amYou can’t just isolate one part of it…it’s not making this specific trade due to tax implications. Is Rui worth it? Yes he’s better than what we’re getting from Jae, but in that case why haven’t we just traded him for Grayson Allen who’d give us more than Jae.

He's just a good basketball player, that's my favorite thing about him, he has a super high IQ I can live with lackluster defense of you do so many other things at a high level.
Love, Hurts.

While true, does it make much of a difference if that kind of deal is still on the table on Feb. 9th? I don't get the rush to make a marginal move especially considering the conference standings.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 3:28 pmBecause having Grayson Allen is worse than just having Jae sit at home.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:59 amYou can’t just isolate one part of it…it’s not making this specific trade due to tax implications. Either you read INF's post the wrong way or I did. I took it at face value.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 6:42 pmWhile true, does it make much of a difference if that kind of deal is still on the table on Feb. 9th? Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Lebron acted like it only happens to him. It happens league wide every night. Plays are missed everyday.
