Game Day: Hawks (25-26) @ Suns (27-25), Wed 2/1/23

Post by Superbone »

Time: 8:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, ESPN

The Suns end their home stand Wednesday night against the Hawks on ESPN. Trae Young is probable after sitting out a loss against the Portland Trailblazers to start their Western road trip. Let’s see if Mikal Bridges can keep his streak of big games alive.

Hawks have had a really bumpy season. I thought they'd be a contender in the East for years, but they've been profoundly mediocre. I wonder if they regret the Dejounte Murray trade? Or if they want to keep Murray but quietly want to get rid of Trae?

Same... I really thought they were on the up and coming. The Trae/McMillan situation ever get worked out? I knew they were beefing...

Lets hope our team finds some rhythm tonight and can get it going... Hoping someone gets Aytons goat in the first quarter so he can perform tonight :P

I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade Trae for KAT in the offseason.

I've heard a few people bring up KAT for Trae Young. A pretty easy hypothetical when looking at the rosters and salaries. It sure would make for an interesting dynamic in Minnesota with Trae and Gobert.

How does Anthony Edwards feel about that?

Probably not great, but he has some growing up to do himself before pointing a finger.

I’m talking more about fit…not sure he wants to play with ball hog Trae

Eh. I mean Dejounte is doing just fine beside him, and he plays with the ball more in his hands more than Edwards does. Plus Trae just basically takes all of the shots Russell and KAT would be taking. So I think it would be a non-issue.

Maybe…but it seems Trae hasn’t been happy sharing with DeJounte either. I’m just kinda out on Trae…he seems to be more trouble than he’s worth

Curious quick hook for Cam.

They're getting good shots in the paint, just gotta hit them.

It'll be interesting to see who plays more minutes between Mikal and Trae. Seems like neither team can afford to take them off of the court right now.

Late to the arena, gonna watch Live instead of delayed on League Pass

Saw last couple possessions
Mikal with the nice euro in open court again, played the whole quarter ? 🤔

And folks
Dario just dare I say, "jumped" to block someone

Broken record when it comes to my boy Cam that I focus mainly on his off the dribble

Had the nice iso drive
But then bad turnover on the break
Also Okongwu rim run and sealed him easily for the AND1

So the good developments and concerns for him all in a couple minutes

Feel like the Hawks always shoot lights out against us no matter what kind of slump they are riding coming in.
