Move CP3 to a 6th man role? Sure, but don't trade him to the other side of the country and his family for a guy who is so volatile that there'd be no guarantee he'd even make it to the post-season without alienating the locker room and/or fanbase.

It doesn’t sound like Chris Paul was ever actually offered
Re: Suns News: Week 17 (2/6 - 2/12)
Those were different situations, though. Nash was a free agent (sign-and-trade). And if someone offered us a superstar for Barkley, I bet we would have done it even if it was not a team on his list. And it's not like Brooklyn is not a contender--sending him to play with Durant is not the worst thing ever.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:41 pmI actually do think that's the way some teams are run, and I think it's good business for your franchise that if you have a 1st ballot HOFer on your team, who has changed the culture and had a significant impact on elevating your best players, who even orchestrated his move to get here in the first place, yeah, I think you do ask him if he's okay with the trade. Nash wanted to go to LA. Barkley wanted to go to a contender. I think the Chris Pauls, Kevin Garnetts, LeBrons, etc... do get to have some say where and when they go, because they've done so much for their respective teams and the sport in general.JeremyG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:24 pmYou mean ask CP3 first if he’s ok with the trade? As long as he gives 100% in the postseason, I couldn't care less. The dude has been a vital part of winning a championship.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:41 pmIn my opinion, it's not a good look business wise to trade CP3 for Kyrie. We all lose our minds because Ayton isn't giving 100% all the time? Kyrie does the same thing. And I say that acknowledging that he is a phenomenal player.

It would be pretty strange if Ishbia made Rowley resign and then hired Isiah to a front office position.

Gambo says he talked to Rowley and he told him, "This is just the way these things go."
If the press conference is happening Wednesday morning, then that must mean that the NBA owners are voting today or tomorrow.

I've never once said he wasn't a huge factor, my issue is he is now overpaid. The end.JeremyG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 1:44 pmStop acting like we make the 2021 Finals without him.TOO wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 1:08 pmThen stop acting like paying a half effort role player a max deal is a good idea.

My point is that paying him a max deal, whether overpaid or not, can help us toward our goal of winning a championship.TOO wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 2:27 pmI've never once said he wasn't a huge factor, my issue is he is now overpaid. The end.

Suns make it to the 2021 Finals with Ayton, but also thanks to Monty and CP3, so, the latter 2 should also get a free pass from you as well, right Jeremy?TOO wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 2:27 pmI've never once said he wasn't a huge factor, my issue is he is now overpaid. The end.
