I'm gonna miss The Twins immensely. Two hard working, classy fellas.
I hope they blossom into the players we all hoped and some thought they could be.

Scrimmage Bridges actually looked like it was becoming reality and then this happens...
Big thank you to Mikal for trying to elevate his game past elite role player.

4 unprotected 1st round picks is painful, but losing ‘Kal really, really hurts.
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
Man I hate that Mikal is gone…maybe my favorite sun ever… What a stud he was for us
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread

How quickly things can change. If you're a Net fan, last week you're reeling from Kyrie's trade demand and then had to take in a lackluster return.
Now? You've got Cam Thomas scoring 40+ three games in a row, and you basically turned Phoenix into your farm team for the next decade. Crazy.
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
Gotta give the Nets FO credit, they cashed in everything for their big 3, cashed out said big 3 and still came out smelling like roses. Incredible really.INFORMER wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:02 amHow quickly things can change. Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
I think the Nets just gained a lot of secondary fans thanks to Mikal and Cam J
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
Yeah, it looked hopeless, but now they are really in a great spot. Hard to believe they could pull this off midseason, but they took advantage of a new owner desperate to make a splash.TOO wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:04 amGotta give the Nets FO credit, they cashed in everything for their big 3, cashed out said big 3 and still came out smelling like roses. Put Mikal in the ring of honor
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
I think ticket sales are really going to improve. We'll sell a lot of merch too.
Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
I'll root for them for sure but as a team with Bum Simmons on it, never. I feel so bad for them having to play with that fraud. I can't imagine how awful he is to put up with as a teammate.Furlanfufi wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:05 amI think the Nets just gained a lot of secondary fans thanks to Mikal and Cam J

Re: Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson Appreciation Thread
Mikal was an incredible Sun. The kind of player you want to see spend his whole career growing with your team and eventually being part of a title squad. Seemed like a genuinely kind and cheerful guy, great teammate, zero drama, team player, everyone's friend. Will really miss him.
Cam was also a guy I've really rooted for. Amazing shooter. Wish he had stayed healthy this year and wish that we had found a way to agree on a contract with him. He was probably gone this summer anyway. But he was a good Sun and I'll miss him, too.

I miss them both, but especially Mikal because he loved Phoenix so much.
