Damn, Warriors lose to OKC while letting them dropped 137 on them.


Idk, I just don’t believe in the warriors this year. I know many in media keep hyping them up as contenders this year, which I understand but I just don’t buy it. I just not afraid of them like I was last year. Could I see them in the WCF or even the finals? Sure but I feel like a lot has to right for them and a lot has to go wrong for other teams (us and the nuggets mainly).

The Dubs are scary at home, just awful on the road.

They’re pretenders without Wiggins and GP2.

What happened to Wiggins? I don't remember him getting injured.

The only longshot hope for the Warriors this year is if they draw a really friendly path through the Western playoffs. They'd have to get something like: Sacramento in the 1st round, Memphis in the 2nd round, and Denver or us in the WCF. I don't think GSW would beat all of those teams, but the argument is that they'd beat the Kings, and the Grizz might be without Ja or distracted by his antics, and then maybe by the WCF they'd be back to full strength with guys like Wiggins and Payton II. I do not think that'll happen, but that's the idea. They are defending champs, so it makes sense to give them some default baseline of respect, but I don't see it happening this year for them.

I think they end up being the 4 or 5th seed and play the warriors in the 1st round, probably lose in 5.

Things are different in the Adam Silver era. The NBA already let the Grizzlies handle it internally, so I'm not expecting much, if any, additional penalty from the NBA. However, he hasn't been officially suspended by the league which means he hasn't missed any game checks yet. That's a bit strange, IMO.

Besides the Arenas situation, previous gun related suspensions have been in the range of 7 games. I think we'll see Ja miss a similar amount when it's all finished.

Silver's NBA is definitely more concerned with optics and Ja's a star they may not want to really punish. They could've taken action earlier with his previous incidents and maybe that would've prevented what happened at the strip club.
