Damn
Perfect! He's always wrong on his predictions. I'd be more worried if he had picked "his" Suns to win. Plus, what are the odds this is related to his beef with KD. If KD takes us to the promised land, he will do what Barkley couldn't.

Why would anyone pick the Clips without Paul George to beat us in a series?

Can you imagine going out in the first round after what we gave up? We better get our act together and quick. At least we don’t have to worry about that 8-0 with Durant anymore.

Good point. It seems like a small thing but I think stats like that can start to inhibit players because they want to keep the streak alive. Let's hope they come out all guns blazing in game 2.

I can absolutely see a scenario where this team is 1 and done. It's so dependant on 2 guys who aren't dependable and a coach who seems to shrink when the pressure is on.

KD/Book need a better cast that can play off them. Paul still thinks he's the driver and Ayton is Ayton.

We will not be 1 and done. Book it.

I will do no such thing. Whatever happens happens. I just hope they make the necessary decisions if they do go 1 and done.

I'd be happy to make one of these moves

As opposed to be inhibited because they just want to win?

Coaching and depth mostly. Clippers have endlesss wings and coach that knows how to use them. We have 2 wings and a coach that doesn't know how to use anything else.

I really mostly hope this is the end of CP3s tenure as a Sun. His inability to defer as he is washed to two superstars is maddening.

Inhibited as in they want to make the perfect play each possession and are unnecessarily tentative instead of just letting things fly. Obviously the desire to win factors into it as well, but when there is additional pressure layered on top of that (e.g keeping a streak going) I think it can have a negative impact.

There’s lots of things for the starters to workout still. But my take away was how the rotation loses momentum. Monty clearly was hoping that Ish Okogie and Biz would provide defense to sustain the needed defense with Book out on the floor. He gambled and lost the fucking game. It would be better to try to at least trade baskets for a few minutes while they give Ayton, CP3, and KD a breather. I’d rather see Ross, Warren, Landale and Book and Okogie at the end or the 3rd to bare minimum trade baskets. You can’t let Book just be triple teamed out on the floor.
