Western Conference Round 1, Game 2: Clippers (1-0) @ Suns (0-1), Tues 4/18/23
Western Conference Round 1, Game 2: Clippers (1-0) @ Suns (0-1), Tues 4/18/23
Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, TNT
The Suns got punched in the mouth in game one. Let's see how they respond in game two. They say it's not a series until a team loses at home. Well, we got a wake up call right off the bat. They're wide awake now. Time to put up or shut up. Cam Payne remains questionable. Let's go!

Uh oh. Scott Foster.
Re: Western Conference Round 1, Game 2: Clippers (1-0) @ Suns (0-1), Tues 4/18/23
Seems to destroy the conspiracy theory that the league carefully selects which games Foster refs and that they use him to extend series. Why would they want Phoenix to go down 0-2? But even if there is no conspiracy, why are they letting him ref game 2, when we’re down 0-1, knowing his history with CP3/Suns? How is that good for the league? It doesn’t make sense.

Or maybe, they’re tired of this narrative, and they’ve told Foster to come and make sure the Suns win so they can go “See!, it’s not righed”

If we score more points than the Clippers, it won't matter who the refs are.

I really think the Scott Foster thing is simply that Foster doesn’t fall for CP3’s crap. Should be less of a problem if we take the ball out of his hands like we should be doing anyways. I’m not worried about Foster, I’m worried about CP3, Ayton, Monty, and the bench.

I agree we need to blow them out tonight. Let them know we're awake now and that we're taking this thing. However, I could see this team winning the next two in LA.

Makes sense to me. It's LA dude! Everybody is picking the Clippers to win this thing and they want to see a Lakers/Clippers series. It's LA all the time, baby!JeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 8:13 amSeems to destroy the conspiracy theory that the league carefully selects which games Foster refs and that they use him to extend series. I’m less worried about Chris Paul’s history with Scott Foster and more worried about Foster’s history of being an erratic ego maniac.

Is this a must-win game for us? If we go down 0-2 after two home games, we'd have to win 4 of 5, with three of those games on the road. Lot of pressure on the guys tonight.

I'm curious, what's the context here, that makes this a mere coincidence?

I'd settle for 4.

I think it’s that Chris Paul plays a certain way. He’s always been a sneaky get under the skin, trick the refs type. Scott Foster doesn’t fall for it.
I will say there is also probably some mental stuff going on. We saw that it was clearly in CP3s head at times and maybe that bled over into his play.
Lastly, they clearly don’t like each other and I do think it’s possible Foster subconsciously favors CP3s opponent, but I don’t buy that he sets out to screw CP3.

At this point Suns just got to play through it.
If they would have won game one then this wouldn't even matter.

This could all be true, but it doesn't make it a coincidence. Or am I wrong about this?Split T wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 3:51 pmI think it’s that Chris Paul plays a certain way. He’s always been a sneaky get under the skin, trick the refs type. Scott Foster doesn’t fall for it.
