I will preface this by saying Draymond is one of my least favorite players, EVER. What I saw in both video clips was Sabonis holding Green’s leg and then around the waist to pull him down. I’m sure Green embellished the whole thing, but Sabonis was holding him.

Yeah, nobody is denying that, but in such case you make a big number screaming and flapping your arms on your way down, not setting your foot on your opponent’s chest and proceed to jump off it with all your weight, that could have ended really bad and was fully premeditated from Green.

Agreed. It was not only disproportionate in response to what Sabonis had done to him, but was flat out dangerous. He deserves to be suspended.

Especially when Draymond does that kind of thing all the time. It’s hilarious that he acts all offended.

I thought Sabonis should have been suspended one game and Draymond 2. I think the league should even have a rule that if anything like that is caught on tape, regardless of how it ends it should be a suspension. Someone’s going to get hurt if they keep allowing shit like this to happen. I think now you’ve encouraged people like Dillon Brooks to try this at home.

I think Sabonis had to at least get fined for his actions for two consecutive games.

The statement the league put out was interesting because they said they took into account his "history of unsportsmanlike acts". So it might not have necessarily been a suspension otherwise, but at least they're punishing guys when there's a pattern of this kind of thing.

He deserved to be suspended. Sabonis already got a tech for grabbing the leg, which is adequate punishment. Draymond could have cracked Sabonis's ribs stomping on him with all his weight like that. The human sternum is not meant to have that much weight bounce off it like that.

The good news is that Draymond gets to rest that ankle that required X-Rays… health comes first!!!

Sauce, can you confirm?
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

These playoffs feel like 2021 all over again. Morant is out. Giannis is out. George now Kawhi is out. Herro is out. This sucks. And we're just three games in.

Wow. Looney with 20 boards for the Warriors tonight in 31 minutes. Must be nice to get that kind of effort from your undersized center.

NINE offensive! Wow!

My theory is people now mostly coast all year barely caring about the games certainly not playing with any physically. Then all of a sudden the playoffs start and it’s a completely different game out there players bodies aren’t quite ready for.
Go Suns!

I think there's some truth to that and it seems like the regular season is becoming less intense year by year. I'm sure the league owners don't really care because they're concerned about the balance sheet, but it has to be hard for the league to market itself when everyone knows the limited incentive to care about 80% of the season.

Players were hurt all regular season as well. It seems like injuries are just up all around. Did players just play through injuries more in the past? Is the game tougher on players bodies now? It is something I’ve thought about. I think teams/players are smarter and do sit guys more than they would have in other eras, but it still seems like there are more legit injuries in todays game than I remember in past eras. Maybe I’m remembering wrong though.
