I can buy Portland being interested…Some sort of Simons/Nurkic package for Ayton/Shamet makes sense.

I'd prefer Simons to Grant if given the option, and I think the Blazers (Dame) would like to keep Grant.

I like Simons. I know his defense is bad, but man he is a great shooter/scorer

I LOVE that he's only 23 and has worked through most of the growing pains in his development.

His body is also finally looking like that of an NBA player. I do have health concerns though..

Is he really getting hurt or is Portland just shutting him down with minor injuries to help their tank? I was under the impression, at least last year, that he could’ve been playing

Is Grant and number three pick on table? Cuz I’d hella jump on Scoot being our PG of the future. Dude would be a roty candidate just driving in the paint while Book and KD hang hack on the perimeter. Keep CP3 for the yesr as his mentor. Grant and sign and stfu and enjoy getting paid to score easy buckets all game until playoffs.

That's true. He's mostly missed games at the end of the season. For some reason, it's always seemed like he's been playing through an injury for most season. Anyway, I mentioned his physical development and that should indicate and improved durability.

I really doubt they'd choose to move Grant before Simons because Simons is a bit redundant with Lillard and he is making a $24-27M for the next 3 seasons.

I’m cool w Simons too. If scoot is available, you trade Simon’s for another big. I think they value Simons though.

I’m 99% certain the third pick would be off the table in an Ayton/Simons deal. The 1% is because the Blazers have made some weird trades recently..

I’ve already stated my strong distaste for Nurkic, so avoid him as much as possible. Nas Little is the guy I’d like the Suns to try to target.

Sounds like a steal for the Blazers. Former #1 pick center for the 3rd pick this year. They'd have to sweeten the deal IMO.

We’re not getting the 3rd pick…and we’re definitely not getting a good player and the 3rd pick.

Portland giving us the 3rd pick for Ayton would be one of the dumbest trades we’ve ever seen

Flex is just completely full of shit. If I could tell the site to selectively hide all of his tweets from my view, I would.

I mean he had insight about KD. I have unfollowed him twice. But I think he is at least a decent source for true rumors. Ayton and #3 is reasonable. That they have to add salary to make it work is in our favor. Dame is the sort of player who believes in his ability to reform and get the best out of his teammates. I’ve thought Dame wanted Ayton for over a year. He’s the Jeremy G of NBA players if there was one.

Flex knows some stuff, but he milks it. He probably heard Portland was interested, took the reports that Portland is shopping #3, and put them together. #3 is way more valuable than Ayton though. The only way I see #3 involved in an Ayton trade is if there is a 3rd team sending something better.

Something like Ayton, OG, #13 to Portland, Nurkic and 3 to Toronto, Simons/Little to Phoenix

There’s just no universe where Portland trades us the 3rd pick for Ayton lol better chance at Dame and that has only like 1% of happening haha

This could be interesting tho. Would the trade the 4th pick for Ayton straight up? They have Sengun but if they are getting harden maybe move him for more veteran win now pieces?
